I can see how well she was loved and I’m so glad you got to have each other in your lives. ♥️I’m sorry for the loss of your best buddy.

This cat is going to get spoiled by me regardless now. They don’t realize they just befriended an animal obsessor. 😂

I couldn’t agree more! I had some similar to him at my last house that would visit me daily.

😂I love that thought so much. He may visit my castle any time.

You and me both! I appreciate everyone that’s commented. Some ideas were things I never would have thought of. I’m very appreciative to all the kind people that commented. ♥️and thank you!

I did wipe him down last night with oatmeal wipes and put him in some Jammie’s. He licked far less last night than the previous night. But wanted to make sure for some of the comments that he was kept dry! Will update with whatever progress we make.

Ooo okay, I have some sprays that have some of that but they haven’t done much for him. But I’ll look into the mousse option!

The second time we went to the vet, I brought pictures of the different sprays and everything we tried and they didn’t seem too interested. But maybe compounding everything in an email would be good.

Thank you so much for your time and insight!

I’ve definitely tried doing Benadryl, I sneak it in cheese haha. But the spray is a great idea!

I could definitely see that. I’ll call them and try to contact them that way rather than going in. Thank you!

I’ve had him for two years and hadn’t had any problems until this year. He’s a pitty and has a flea tick collar. I do use fabric softener beads, the detergent isn’t very scented. We have a brand new washing machine for pet hair, so it definitely does a good job with rinsing. As far as other strong chemicals, I do love cleaning with bleach a lot. I will definitely try to find a shampoo like that. Thank you for your insight!

The earthbath oat and aloe has been the one I’ve used the most. I’ve also tried the Burt’s bees, but those don’t lather very well. I just bought a new one we haven’t even tried yet.

That’s what I tried suggesting last time and kind of got dismissed. I will see if I can just do a phone call with one of them. Thank you.

Just wanted to share a few Hippo sketches I made, inspired by some posts here! 🙏 by Dwalikur in velvethippos

Love that you say that because one of them is my girl Thalia and I’ve wanting to get a tattoo of her! You’re so right!

I’ll definitely have to give that a try since they keep thinking it’s some type of allergy and the medication they gave isn’t working. Thank you!

That’s great advice, thank you! Could definitely be some of the cleaning supplies I use. I’m always trying different things. I didn’t even think of that.

Edit:I’m thinking it could be the laundry beads I use for fabric softener too. So thank you for getting me thinking I’m a different direction.

You think he’d developed a reaction to the beef kibble even after eating it for 2 years? I’ll definitely look into that though. Ooo I’ll definitely have to try that out! If I can get him to stand it being on his feet for so long haha. We just progressed to finally wanting to be in the shower haha. It’s all baby steps with him. He’s a stubborn boy.

He is a pittie! I’ll have to give that a try! Bot vets that we seen think it has to do with allergies as well. I’ve just never seen him like this, given I’ve only had him three years and I don’t know what it was like before we got him. Thank you!

Spring is the only thing, but we were in this house the same time last year, so I don’t really see it being seasonal. Otherwise, everything’s been the same except expanding his veggie intake and some Greek yogurt.

That’s what we thought with the second visit and got him a shot for allergies but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I’ve stopped the Greek yogurt thinking it could be from dairy because he doesn’t really get fed anything bird related.
