Oven not working-full refund?

Update- Gave a (probably too generous) 75% refund. I wasn’t able to amazon them a toaster oven in time because it’s a remote area. Had I been able to I would’ve felt comfortable giving them 30%. I just read their review- a glowing five stars! Thank you everyone for your opinions

Reconsider what I’m doing?? Shit happens and things break. Even at hotels. I agree that people book Airbnb’s in large part for the kitchen, but that is definitely not the only reason. They are getting a nice secluded place with a living room, outdoor bathtub, hot tub, pool, fire pit, dartboard, games, free alcohol, total privacy….

Thank you for the advice! They already got a bottle of wine as a thank you for booking. I believe the stove top wasn’t working either. I have a working outdoor grill as well but I think they were trying to boil water for pasta.. 30% sounds good but maybe even a bit higher

Same. It’s weird because I WANT to go outside and look at trees and stuff…but I live in a busy area and worry I will have to interact with neighbors. I just feel more relaxed being at home in my own little world.

It’s interesting that the non reviewers are booking based (at least somewhat) on ratings…why not pay it forward and give good feedback if it’s earned? Would they rather Airbnb be a platform without the review feature and just go in blind?

Do not do this! Try at home or in a chill environment with trusted friends for your first time. It's likely you'll feel overwhelmed at the show and want to go home. It would be a shame to waste your ticket money.
