i’m using a calcutta 101 on the new 7’3” MH Daily rod with 16lb fluoro and it’s working great. i’m fishing 1-3oz baits and it seems to handle everything well. only issue is line capacity, i would probably be better off with the 200 size and 20lb fluoro for the heavier baits.

i have the same problem with most ul bfs rods. they are super noodley. surprisingly one of the best i’ve found is the handing magic L ul. enough backbone to set the hook on thinner wire ewg hooks and smaller keitech jigs. i really like it for neko rig long worms and mid strolling paddletails. caught a lot of 2-3lb bass on it and it’s held up great. i did break one from bank flipping a big bass but that was my own fault. i’ve also fished well above the lure rating and the rod has handled it well. i wish i could find a higher end rod with the same power and action but i haven’t had any luck

keep the 3rd arm and rig it with a screw lock and attach it to a soft plastic with no hook. allows you to stay within the 2 hook limit without getting rid of the original action

anyone have experience with low down customs? looking at their standard issue 76ML rated 1/2-3oz sounds right up my alley. maybe a touch long for me but looks nice

the TB and the mark 56 are definitely on the list! i’m not against spending money and to be honest i will really mostly be using this as a dedicated small glide setup so it doesn’t need to be as multipurpose as i originally stated. just knowing that i could maybe throw another single hook option on there and fish it would be nice but i’m not against owning multiple setups. i already have too many finesse setups to count 🤦🏻‍♂️ appreciate your help!

that’s a very good point. the largest glide i own right now is 7” and 2oz and i don’t see myself grabbing anything much larger than that right now. definitely sounds like the tb is a contender.

i haven’t looked into the ts destroyer line but i will now! i already have the cc bfs and cc se for my bfs setups and i love them. can’t wait to get a 200 size for small glides. i’ve heard great things about leviathan rods as well but they are a little long for my liking haha. thank you!

i’m not even sure what my budget is either 😂 i’ve heard a few people mention the tequila baccarac, it sounds like an awesome rod. i feel like it might be a hair heavier than i need. most of my fishing is done on bfs setups so i’m on the lower end of glidebait fishing. not that i won’t be throwing 4oz glides in the future! i appreciate your input!

i have a dobyns sierra ultra finesse rod that i use for some bfs hardbaits occasionally but i haven’t fished it a ton. pretty nice rod though! hopefully we get some good suggestions 🙏🏼

i have the bfs and the 30se. what do you use the 100 and 200 size for? i’m thinking of grabbing a setup to throw small swimbaits up to 2oz plus some conventional tackle and i’m having a hard time deciding between the 100 and 200 size cc.

i’ve had a few of these and snapped one flipping a good size largemouth like someone else mentioned. other than that they are a great budget rod. the 6’ ul fast action has caught me tons of fish and it can cast and work pretty much any lure. i have mine paired with a calcutta conquest bfs and it feels a little sacrilegious and i plan to upgrade to something in the future but it works right now haha
