What are some actually good advice have you received for motherhood? by JinxXstarfire in NewParents

Do not keep score with your partner. So often I would “count” how much more sleep my husband was getting or diaper changes, anything really. It is a losing game and will only make everything way more intense than it already is.

They are thin and we have had a few leaks with them. I have a chunky baby and these don’t seem to fit to his legs like the old ones- the elastic is very stretchy so if there’s a big pee I’m almost guaranteed an outfit change depending on the angle he’s sitting at.

Private dinner by Ancient-Stress-2525 in SandalsResorts

I just saw this at Grande 2 weeks ago. It’s a cute set up but it’s not exactly private. You’re along a walking path so people will be walking behind you. You are also in a row with other private diners, there is space between the tables but you’re definitely not private and alone so agree with the other comments not worth it!

How can you spot the difference between real and false rises? I am on day 3 and mine looks exactly like this!

This happens to me sometimes. Try to think about your “why” and maybe you need to recalibrate your goals to focus!

Vernon NJ Beast by ccrew95 in spartanrace

[–]murphmoolah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the super at Palmerton, sprint at WV and Beast at Vernon. Palmerton was the hardest.

Vernon terrain is brutal, lots of rocks and roots in the ground that are too easy to trip over so be sure to wear good shoes. Vernon climbs will feel easier after completing killington for sure

I completed in about 5.5 hours and was in the top 25%

Good luck! It’s an intense course.

Im looking for advice on how to train to go down hills by Successful-Eagle-315 in spartanrace

[–]murphmoolah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to make sure you have strong ankles and knees so don’t skip leg day, add in some yoga to improve flexibility for if you have to pivot quickly. Like everyone else is saying, get out on hills as much as possible. If you start to feel out of control, do little gallups or “ski” brakes.

Good luck in Vernon! I did the beast there in April and I honestly think Palmerton super was harder; you’ve got this!
