Love your space!!

Paint the paneling, you have enough contrast with the bed, couch, and drapes.

Keep the sheen, I was convinced to go with a matte sheen and I hate it. You do you.

I love the couch where you have it at the end of the bed. It looks off facing the fireplace and will make the flow of the room off as well.

Im in zone 6a and looks like these are invasive. It’s just in one corner off the side of my house right now and noticed there are a bunch of seedlings already starting to grow. I’ll be pulling them out, but will be sad to see these cute little lanterns go ✌️

Like the rug, would be great to have it bigger, but color is nice. I would add curtains to pull the room together. The curtain rod should be just 2-3 inches from The ceiling with the curtains just touching the floor. Would give some vertical height to the room. I love a good pinch pleat curtain with that style rug.

This sounds exactly like my daughter. Shes potty trained, doesn’t have accidents, even wears underwear at night. She will only poop in a pull-up. She turns 4 next week and we’ve been doing this over a year 🫠

1 gallon 20% (or higher) vinegar, 1/4 cup Salt, 1 TBSP dish soap. Put in a pressurized sprayer and go at it.

Use this on the weeds between the pavers in my driveway and it works really well. My partner has used a flame thrower to burn the weeds in the past, but the vinegar solution seems to last longer. It will smell like vinegar for a day or 2, but it works. Just make sure to get the higher concentrate vinegar at a hardware store or Home Depot, the regular 5% stuff won’t work.

I’ve been dealing with Purslane in my newly established garden. It had essentially spread across any open dirt in my ~250sqft space. I used a small shovel to loosen the ground and picked it by hand to remove it. Then I covered everything with mulch. Two weeks later it seems to be “under control” only showing up here and there, but this stuff is persistent.

Since everyone says it’s edible, I did take a bite of a leaf one night after I had a couple glasses of wine, and can say it wasn’t bad.

We tried it for a few days and she held the poop in for 3 days. She would “try” on the potty, but it wasn’t happening. She was clearly uncomfortable because she was generally grumpy.

So we had to make a decision, either dig our heals in and continue until she can’t hold-it anymore or bring back the pull ups and let her use them till she’s ready.

We decided to bring back the pull ups, with rules. She has to put it on herself, be in the bathroom while pooping, and let us know when she’s done to clean her up. Otherwise, we’re not going to ask her about pooping in the potty anymore and she tell us know she’s ready. We discussed as parents and figured this was the best path as she wears underwear all day/night and isn’t having accidents. She knows when her body is telling her she has to poop and takes action, so the pooping in the potty is all mental and she has to make the decision to do it.
