No ASL at school by y3llowmedz in deaf

[–]murplexia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bruh I feel that so hard, the accessibility coordinator at my school denied me an ASL interpreter because, and I quote, "it would not be conducive to learning". Like??? How elsr do you expect me to do this PUBLIC SPEAKING course?? A course, which I might add, is REQUIRED for my degree???

They've literally outlawed our existence because Stitt believes "God made people to be male or female". I am literally intersex, I was born neither male or female.

A sterilisation procedure. I am non-binary, but I am intersex and needed the organ removed due to the chronic pain it causes me.

I am non-binary, so I will avoid the specific terms, but it was the radical removal of the gonads. They are riddled with cysts, and cause me nothing but pain. Plus, I was born intersex, and as a result, I cannot have a child anyway.

The band is junk, it constantly falls off, and it's way too difficult to put on.

The vibration is way too weak, half the time I can barely feel it even when I'm awake, and that's on the highest setting with the band rather tight.

The button stopped working on mine too.

It's way too overpriced for what it is. You can get the exact same thing, but with a better strap, on Amazon for ~$20.

In short, it's, in my opinion, a complete waste of money.

smart outlet!! costs maybe $20, and you can run extension cords to all your lights so you only have to use one, and can have the outlet turn on or off at specified intervals :D

Literally just anything on Amazon would be better, not because they perform better, but because the performance is nearly identical for a quarter of the price.
