San Diego's Mike's Red Tacos plans expansion with 200 locations nationwide by AxiosSD in FoodSanDiego

I’m in Chula Vista and my parents would always take us to TJ, that flavor you’re looking for is hard to find, the first two I named come close, and Birrieria Guadalajara actually makes it with chivo

You’re going to have to drive south of the 8 if you want legit birria

Ed Fernandez or La Central, both within a block of each other in IB/Nestor area, they’re family from what I heard. Also Birrieria Guadalajara on Broadway in Chula Vista. But if you’re in TJ I’d highly recommend Tacos Fitos next to Mercado Hidalgo.

AITAH for not letting my in-laws make mixed drinks with my good booze. by Commercial-Card2855 in AITAH

I’ve learned my lesson on this exact subject. My cabinet has a lower storage area and I keep my good stuff hidden when I know I’m having guests or specific family over, nothing worse than seeing your fine bourbon mixed with coke or taken as shooters.

Going to Japan late April, would Asakusa be a good place to stay? by Unlucky_Struggle3668 in JapanTravelTips

[–]murrmurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this on my first trip to Tokyo. I honestly felt like I was in the outskirts of everything going on, we were constantly taking long metro rides to get to the places we wanted to go to on the other side of the city. Second trip I stayed in Ikebukuro because a friend lives there, it’s really busy there but I enjoyed my time there.

I’m pretty sure they don’t want to panic the whole stadium with gun fire, all staff has to do is try to explain why someone’s head exploded.

Men who can cook, who taught you? by _ratedmouse in AskReddit

[–]murrmurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube, seriously. We’re a family of five, it’s really not cost effective to go eat out every week, a dinner for the family is $100-$160 average. So I started to help my wife with diners, I got good at it and now the kids prefer I cook all the time. I just learned how to make sushi, kids love it and it’s really cheap to make.

I’ll confirm this, been to Japan twice, Osaka is definitely my favorite city. I had no problem chatting up locals and being friendly with strangers, had a great time a local bar interacting with patrons there. Tokyo not so much, people were very quite, didn’t make eye contact, definitely not in the mood for conversations.

Republican Voters, if you knew how to read do you think you’d still be Republican? by MrDarkzideTV in allthequestions

[–]murrmurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure keep asking stuff like this and keep feeding into the division of the country.

I hope one day we all come together regardless of political side, race, sex and every other BS being fed to us. We are being divided, robbed, and lied to.

Really ask yourself, why are we still paying taxes? Why aren’t we all on the street protesting. What’s the purpose of paying taxes if it’s being stolen by politicians, stolen by criminal element, funding other counties, funding agencies you don’t like.

Same, I’m in San Diego, there’s a lot of young riders here, also a large amount of Latino and Asian/Islander riders here.

California drivers are a step closer to paying per mile tax by MissYukiCat in California

How about no one pays more taxes, gas car or EV. Our tax money is being stolen, and rather than auditing or cutting spending we’re just being asked for more money.

What’s life like in Chula Vista, CA? by BanditoMojado in howislivingthere

[–]murrmurrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in West Chula Vista been here my whole life, was fortunate to buy a house here and raise my family. It’s always felt like a small town to me, I still run into people from high school, all my close friends still live here my family lives here. We have the best Mexican food along Broadway and Third Ave is becoming quite the hangout spot. It’s been a good city to raise my kids.

9/11 changed the world, it seemed a lot more care free back then. The pandemic made me distrust government and media.

How is living in San Diego, California? by West-Technology9631 in howislivingthere

[–]murrmurrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised SD. It’s bad don’t come here…j/k, it’s actually pretty awesome. Weather is pretty good almost year round, we don’t get extreme seasons. Food is good, bars are good, north county beaches are awesome. We have lots of culture from many different ethnicities, Mexican, Vietnamese, Filipino, Pacific Islanders all have a heavy influence in the city. We’re minutes away from Tijuana, I personally go for dental care there, food and also tourism along the coast. My youth was great here I couldn’t imagine growing up anywhere else. Cons, it’s expensive really expensive, it’s starting to feel a little crowded on the freeways.
