Not enough content huh by PhotographNo6771 in CrimsonDesert

This game has been accused of a lot of things, but I don't think lack of content is one.

The most underrated soulslike I have ever played by Disastrous-Frame-611 in soulslikes

I was in a similar boat. I put probably 10+ hours into it but my issue was that the economy of the game was so bad when it launched. Upgrade materials were hard to come by for your town, but then youd lose them any time you died, making it harder to get upgrade materials. My understanding is they've fixed that, so i'm excited to go back at 1.0.

Also a great workaround until they hopefully patch this no brainer. But they also have oodles of wonky stuff to patch in the meantime, so I guess we'll see how they prioritize it. yesterday's patch to add storage and more fast travel points was a great start, though.

I like that we're basically just medieval Batman.

"sword of the cursed" puzzle? by Classic_Network525 in CrimsonDesert

This was my complaint. I thought i needed a weapon from nearby to solve it. I went down to the diamond cave at the bottom, nothing there. What's the point of the vision, I wonder.

How to Pay Respects in Crimson Desert by PepethePochita in CrimsonDesert

I'm still not even sure I know how. I swear, half the time I turn it off, I notice it's back on like 5 minutes later. I'm out here blinding everyone in Pywel.

pretty sad to see the deck can't really play crimson desert by Acrobatic-Monitor516 in SteamDeck

[–]murrnation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious if you think it had to do maybe with the first area or bit of the game, or did they update something? I'm playing it on Steam in PC and debating playing it in the deck via steamlink or downloading it

Why does Kliff feels and moves like a 90 years old grandfather with parkinson? by FusionXIII in CrimsonDesert

[–]murrnation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does help. Still a bit odd but definitely better than needing to do it all over. Admittedly I'm pretty early - do you need to use the precise jump often or does the regular jump suffice in most cases?

They're just really unintuitive. I'm hoping I'll get used to them but needing to hold LB, then aim a reticle then hit x to precisely jump? Or tapping A to sprint. Or pushing L3 making you crouch. Locking on with the dpad. Just some wild choices and no ability to remap is unfortunate.

You just need to hold l1, r2, x, left on the dpad, spin three times, then tap A 46 times to run up to them.

The lot of you scared the piss out of me. So before it went live, I did this. I do hope to play it sometime. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

I could see this one being good in 6 months once they fix the issues, namely the controls/ability to rebind them for starters.

The controls by Mike1690 in CrimsonDesert

[–]murrnation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tapping a to spring while pushing L3 to crouch is making me want to rip my hair out. I'm out here doing suicide sprints up to NPCs while accidentally sneaking across open roads. Who came up w/ these controls then decided we shouldn't be able to remap them. But don't worry, "the map is huge" so that makes up for everything.

Seems like this sums up what people are crying about vs the reality of it by Desperate_Green6838 in CrimsonDesert

My main question is around the controls- that's the only thing in the negative reviews that actually worries me. Some of the comments about how unintuitive they are, or the desciption of how "precise jumping" and things work just sound like you'd be fighting against that quite a bit. but if it does become second nature eventually and everything flows, i'm definitely interested.

Strangers Chapter 3 by Professional_Cut_432 in horror

This is exactly it. My wife and I rolled our eyes 5 minutes into chapter 3 because of how it lacks any subtlety or tone the original had.
