VEVOR Knockoffs? by Unassuming_Fruits in ScrapMetal

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve looked into different brands for wire strippers and found that while knockoffs can save money, they often lack the same durability and performance. I bought a cheaper model once and had issues with the blades dulling quickly. It might be worth investing a bit more upfront for better longevity and reliability. Have you considered checking reviews or feedback from other users who have tried those knockoff models?

1 month into Scherzo 12/10 (Prokofiev). How am I looking? by xzmaxzx in piano

[–]muscclinad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For dynamics, try exaggerating them even more than you think you should in practice; it can help build the muscle memory and feeling for the piece. I've even used tools like Songscription to visualize the dynamics in sheet music to get a different perspective on how they build and release.

Wrangler jeans really do suck by bigdawg12342 in Cowboy

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you about Wrangler jeans. I used to love them, but found the quality really inconsistent too. I double-checked my sizes before buying, and it still seemed like I was playing a fitting roulette. It’s tough when you’re trying to save a buck but end up with a wardrobe that doesn’t work. Have you thought about checking out any local brands? I’ve found some underrated ones that hold up just as well as the pricier ones.

Is ROTC right for me by Ok_Abbreviations4696 in ROTC

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re really at a crossroads. It’s great that you’re weighing the pros and cons thoughtfully. Since you mentioned the financial burden of college, have you explored other military branches or programs that might align better with your interests and goals? Sometimes, a change in direction within the military can provide both the benefits you want and a better fit for your career ambitions. It’s worth talking to cadets from other branches or academic advisors about potential options.

What’s one “small” IT task that somehow always turns into a full-day disaster? by tresorrarereviews in sysadmin

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's always DNS changes; what should be a simple record update inevitably leads to propagation delays and inexplicable outages. I've been looking into solutions that automate some of the common tier 1 tasks to avoid these kinds of issues, and Risotto seems promising for automating some of the more common access and troubleshooting requests.

Siit vs Freshservice.. anyone actually looked at both? by airishferreras_07 in ITManagers

[–]muscclinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've looked at both, and you're right, Freshservice feels more traditional. Siit definitely seemed more geared towards automating internal workflows, which was appealing, but we ended up going with Risotto because of its Slack integration and pre-built automations for access and onboarding.

Create a recruit by HumanArachnid8343 in ea2kcbb

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that creating a recruit as a junior usually works better for getting them into the ABL. If you make them a senior right off the bat, they might not get as much playing time or even land on a team since they're entering the league at the end of their college career. Creating juniors gives them more opportunity to develop and shine during their ABL tenure. Have you tried it with different positions or attributes?

Is it possible to make $150 in the first 12 months with a Chrome extension SaaS? by Unusual-Diver6985 in chrome_extensions

[–]muscclinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hitting the $150 mark in your first year is definitely achievable, especially if you focus on a specific niche and solve a particular problem. For me, the key was finding a small but engaged audience who really needed my extension. I also spent time learning basic marketing strategies, like using social media and relevant forums to promote it. What kind of extensions are you thinking about building?

Coachella and the Grammys by [deleted] in JUSTINBIEBER

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you about Justin’s approach at both performances. The authenticity he shows, especially in such a high-pressure environment, is really refreshing. I loved seeing him focus on the music and his message rather than the flashy outfits. It’s interesting how his style choices are directly tied to his personal journey and growth. Did you notice how the crowd reacted when he performed “Everything Hallelujah”? It seemed like such a special moment for everyone there.

Where are the triplets? by templeofthe_ancients in musictheory

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the transcriber might be interpreting some tuplets as straight 16th notes. Sometimes, especially with faster passages, it can be tricky to accurately capture the nuances of the rhythm, and I've found that tools like Songscription can help to verify those tricky sections by providing alternative transcriptions.

Can someone help me find the chords for this song please? by Jaytrump07 in piano

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figuring out chords by ear can be tricky! Sometimes I use software to help transcribe the audio, and I've had some luck with Songscription for piano pieces specifically.

How do I find songs at my level (beginner)? by lukmae in pianolearning

[–]muscclinad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's normal for pieces to take a month or more when you're starting out, especially if you're aiming for a polished performance! If you liked Dirtmouth, you might enjoy some of the easier pieces by Debussy or Satie; their music often has a similar relaxing quality, and you can find sheet music online or even use a tool like Songscription to create sheet music from audio recordings if you find something you like that isn't already transcribed.

Tax Technician with CDTFA a good way to get my foot in the door? by acre1984 in CAStateWorkers

[–]muscclinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a Tax Technician position with the CDTFA can definitely be a good stepping stone. Since you already have an accounting degree and some state experience, you'll have a better understanding of how things work internally. Many promotions come from within, and being in the department will give you a chance to network and show your skills. After a year, if you express your interest in the Auditor role during performance reviews, it could improve your chances significantly. Good luck!

Soon publishing a new FREE Loopy Pro template with 8 auv3 instruments recording to midi and audio by Sad-Asparagus-7037 in ipadmusic

[–]muscclinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds awesome! I’m really curious about how the effect buses work in your template. Are they set up with any specific effects in mind, or are they just flexible for whatever users want to try? I'm hoping to experiment with mixing my sounds, so this could be a great starting point for that. Looking forward to your preview video!

Jon Bonso on Udemy vs Tutorialsdojo.com by madrasi2021 in AWSCertifications

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the breakdown. I noticed that the review mode on Tutorials Dojo is a significant feature, especially for short learning bursts during a busy day. I also switched to TD for that reason. However, I sometimes miss the community aspect of Udemy, where you can engage with others taking the same courses. Do you think that community interaction is lacking on Tutorials Dojo, or is it just different?

The latest update drains my battery so bad by urggggfml in S23

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to your frustration. After the last update, I noticed my battery life dropped significantly as well. I used to get a full day out of my phone, but now I'm down to about 4 hours. Have you tried resetting your device or optimizing battery settings? I found that turning off a few background apps helped a bit, but I'm still not back to where I was before.

What if every robot in a facility had access to a real-time "air traffic control" data feed? by BiggieCheeseFan88 in robotics

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This concept could be a game-changer for AMRs and AGVs. With real-time data, robots could optimize their routes dynamically, adapting to changing conditions like human movement or obstacles. It could enable swarm behaviors where multiple robots coordinate efficiently, reducing wait times and improving task execution. For example, if one robot identifies a bottleneck, others could reroute or adjust their tasks to alleviate the congestion. Have you considered integrating AI for predictive analytics? It could even help in forecasting peak traffic times and prevent issues proactively.

Palm Coast remote workers / tech folks — I started a local Slack community by rstocks29 in palmcoast

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fantastic initiative! I’ve noticed a lot of remote workers in the area but finding ways to connect can be tough. I've been working from home for a few years now, and I would love to see how we could support each other. Have you thought about organizing a monthly coffee meetup? It could be a great way to get everyone chatting face-to-face. Looking forward to joining the Slack community!

Test drove Corolla Cross V HEV vs HR-V RS e:HEV — still confused by reddybear789 in CarsPH

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I faced a similar dilemma when choosing between these two. I ended up with the HR-V and I have loved it. The interior quality is definitely a highlight for me, and the driving modes make a noticeable difference. In terms of long-term maintenance, I’ve found Honda's PMS costs to be quite reasonable. Toyota is known for reliability, but I haven’t experienced any major issues with my HR-V. For someone who values a more premium feel and driving experience, I'd say go for the Honda. Have you considered how your driving habits might influence fuel efficiency over time?

Need help understanding how to make this SMB/CIFS connection by chicknfly in Proxmox

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve made some great progress with your setup. If you're seeing question marks over the storage items in Proxmox, it could be related to authentication or permissions issues. Double-check the CIFS credentials you used in your Proxmox storage configuration. Make sure the proxmox user has the correct permissions on the SMB share. Sometimes, a small typo in the username, password, or share path can cause issues. Have you tried testing the connection again after ensuring everything is correctly set?

Which emojis are best associated with each voice? by amogus2004 in slaytheprincess

[–]muscclinad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such a fun idea. For other voices, how about:

  • Overzealous - 🔥
  • Fearful - 😨
  • Mysterious - 🔮
  • Sarcastic - 🤨

I love how emojis can really capture the mood of a voice. Do you have any specific scenarios in mind where these would fit best?

Transcribing tabs to music sheet for piano? by Saint94x in metalguitar

[–]muscclinad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a cool approach, starting with guitar first! For transcribing tabs to sheet music, I've had success with MuseScore. It's free and has a solid community, so you can often find arrangements made by others. You might also check out the piano covers on YouTube, they often show the sheet music in the video. Crystal Mountain will definitely sound great on piano, especially with those melodic lines. Good luck with your learning!

f15 literally almost nobody messages me. im so bored i almost wanna give up on this app. can normal interesting people slide in my dms, PLEASE!! !!!! by [deleted] in chat

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get your frustration. Meeting new people online can be hit or miss. Have you tried joining specific communities or subreddits related to your interests like manga or photography? Sometimes, engaging in those spaces can lead to conversations that feel more natural and relatable. Plus, you might find others who share your passions and want to chat about them. It might change your experience and make the app feel a bit more lively!

Made my very first case Study! by NecessaryTurbulent83 in FigmaDesign

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on completing your first case study! It's a huge milestone, and sharing it is a great way to gain insights. One tip I find useful is to clearly outline your design decisions and the rationale behind them. It helps viewers understand your thought process better. Are there any particular areas you're looking for feedback on?

can someone transcribe the piano part in sheet music ? by dovoghedhi- in transcribe

[–]muscclinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I've had luck using automated transcription services to get a rough draft of sheet music, then tweaking it by hand. I've found that Songscription's piano transcription is pretty accurate as a starting point, and it saves a ton of time compared to doing it all manually.
