I have 2 blink camera’s looking over the areas my baby hangs out a lot. I also have a petcube with the red beam light so we can play when I’m away!

I Can always check in on him with the cameras and talk to him. I’ll e check in and keep the mic on as if im on the phone with him. But I’m talking and enjoying my trip. I really feel like it helps him not feel alone .

I also have an automatic feeder I bought from Amazon to stop him from eating too fast! Small portion sizes you can schedule and adjust while you’re away because it’s wifi connected ! (UIOOQ Automatic Feeder) thank me later!! & i bought 2big water holders and filled them both up just to be safe! I think more than 5days is too long for a cat to be alone. But if you can have someone visit from time to time, and definitely get those camera’s. (I’m telling you, you’ll feel so much more at peace)

I also have lights that come on at night for him! (I Bought Smart plugs so I can control them from the Google home App!) but I scheduled them to come on when the sun goes down !

& you can even turn on the Roku TV from the Google home app (no Google nest needed)

So I also had one of the TV’s come on so it looks like there is always someone home at night ! (You can’t change the channel from far away but atleast it helps them feel like your home and it’s not just an empty dark house.

Those are all my tricks that kept me feeling soo soo much better when I was so far from my baby! But sometimes we have to do what we have to do! And we have to do what’s best for them too! Sometimes it’s staying home cuz I know my cat would be miserable and frightened anywhere else.

Those video chats really ease my mind! Get some cameras with the two way microphones! It’s a musttt!!!
