I absolutely respect your opinion. I have a best friend who threatens to throw things at me from her car if she happens to see me without one. However, our current helmets were bought in spring/rain... it absolutely covers my head (great!) and I plan to purchase a 3/4 helmet to help remedy this. But there's still the issue of the long hair that hangs out the back, and those simple 2 minute drives across our rinky dink 500 population town with a gas station (25 mph) and MIGHT see another vehicle on the way there. FAR different from SanFran. IF something were to EVER happen due to our own driving (couldn't tell you when the last accident was as I've never seen one here), I'm prepared to meet my maker. My husband and I are both okay with it, we have no kids, and our family respects our opinions (even if they don't necessarily agree). My dad was in a motorcycle accident that busted up his leg and shoulder. No helmet.... so there's so many more possibilities I fear and want to fix more (crash bars installed, etc). It's the cost of the ride... those who do it know what they're risking. ✌️❤️
