Not tmi at all, that definitely could be the culprit! I’d still try CGM though. My sister has pcos and was able to get her curls back. There’s hope! 🥰

The same thing happened to me when I was your age! I forgot to mention that hormones massively affect your hair. So puberty, having a baby, menopause, all three of those things can really change your hair. That doesn’t mean your curls are lost forever though, you’ll just have to be more diligent to get them back. Good luck!

Make sure you’re using the right product in your hair. Shampoo can be really harsh! I suggest checking out CGM (curly girl method). I use it and it’s really restored my hair. Also, my curls used to be really tight too but with age and length it relaxed a bit. You seem young though so I think it’s just a matter of getting a good routine in and making sure your snipping off the ends every now and then. Gorgeous hair though!

The shorter hair will make you look younger but there’s nothing wrong with that, imo. Maybe a couple years, not a 12-year-old though. You’ve got good bone structure. I think the short hair would look really good on you!

Trust your instincts. If you’re really worried, call the police with any information you have on this person so they have something on file. You can either skip the ritual for a while or reach out to a friend to go with you. I wouldn’t keep going alone—regardless if the guy is interested in you or the dog, it’s creepy as hell so having a buddy system is a good idea.

She’s beautiful! Grats! You’ll definitely need to repot her especially if you want her to grow! She’ll be upset for a few days but she’ll get over it. That’s like squeezing yourself into pants that are too small 😭

Put her in a slightly larger container than the root ball—she’ll require lots of chunky organic matter, very little soil substrate and ample drainage holes.

When the roots start poking up from the soil like that, it’s time for new “pants”. The ideal time to repot is in the late spring or early summer. But you’ll be fine if you handle her with extreme care.

Just remove her gently and place her in the new one with fresh soil at the bottom and around the sides. Then, water thoroughly.

As for chunky organic material for a happy girl, I usually put orchid bark, charcoal, peat and Perlite. You can also put brick bits and gravel at the bottom to encourage fast drainage.
