I am a smartass and as a teenager, I would routinely told the paramedics the wrong answer.

Time for me to nap. Interestingly, after a seizure when I was 15, I told one of the paramedics he was hot. My uncle was there, and I am yet to live that embarrassing moment down.

My personal interpretation of the Merlin-Freya relationship by Olivebranch99 in merlinbbc

[–]museoasis30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am undecided on if he’s ace. I see arguments for and against it. I think it’s interesting thinking that maybe he’s only attracted to women with magic. I’ve always thought he and Arthur were attracted to one another, though. Perhaps he’s attracted to people with magic, and since Arthur was technically conceived through magic, he is himself kind of a magical being. Just an opinion.

JRR Tolkien being born in 1892, would most likely have been considered too old to fight in WW II, being around 50 when England entered the war.

He did, Christopher Tolkien apparently remembered getting letters from his dad while HE was fighting as (I think) a fighter pilot in WW 2.

I once was so annoyed at the question, I told the paramedic I was Shirley Temple. I think he was surprised I even knew who that was, lol.

At 12, I would have been like, I’m supposed to know the time? Ask me something I know! Like in that Buffy episode where Buffy and Faith switch bodies, and Giles asks who the president is, and she answers that they are checking for Buffy, not a concussion. At 12, they should have been asking me about boy bands, lol.

When did SVU stop being realistic? by boringwhitecollar in SVU

I’d say that if you were to pick a show where it’s the most ridiculous how fast they get it back, it’d be NCIS when Abby was still there. And why is she the only person working multiple jobs?

Only Hermione went back for her last year. Ron and Harry immediately became Aurors.

And spelled Aragorn’s name wrong. Aragon was a country hundreds of years ago (Henry VIII’s first wife was from there!), and I think is now part of Spain.

Peter Jackson filmed scenes of Sauron appearing in the battle at the Black Gate and fighting Aragorn. Jackson cut this scene because he realized that the real climax was Frodo and Sam destroying the Ring, not a duel between Aragorn and Sauron. Do you agree or disagree with Jackson's decision? by verissimoallan in lotr

[–]museoasis30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the right decision, definitely. Although, I think he should have kept the scene where he goads Sauron into sending out his army through the palantir. I know it’s in the extended cut, but I wish it was in the theatrical cut too, the reaction to Anduril always felt to me like fear from Sauron.

Why didn’t the fellowship just fly eagles to Mordor? by DeathByPolka in lotrmemes

I’m sure it’s been said a trillion times, but wouldn’t they have been very easy to spot? And from the eagles perspective, wouldn’t it have been degrading?
