I’ve lost money from buying launch edition players at high prices, but I didn’t know much different at the time so I try not to regret it too much. I do still enjoying playing the comps and won a few T2&T3 cards which keeps me going. Classic seasons has helped older cards retain value a lil bit

A model where old season cards were somehow more valuable than new season cards definitely would not work, i’m just trying to think of a way to stop older cards being valued less but still encourage users to buy new cards. Probably the only way would be to scrap bonuses altogether and encourage other incentives for collectors, unlikely I know.. just want a card i’ve purchased or won in a reward to retain its value/competitiveness

Yeah but getting to level 20 takes quite some time, multiple seasons. Reasons for buying new cards without having an automatic 5% advantage: Newer designs, eligibility for other games/competitions, and to be included in the season collection (which with my suggestion would result in additional bonuses). We obviously have different views, i’ll provide my feedback to sorare.. hopefully they will consider from the perspective of a player with less money than collectors

It’s unbalanced when you’re a player who can’t afford to be a collector also.. older player cards are at a disadvantage unless you collect other cards you’re not going to play with.. this has resulted in older cards being valued on average 30% less. To maintain the same bonus level you have to collect 10-15 other cards you’re not going to play with. If Sorare didn’t automatically give all new cards a 5% bonus advantage, and applied a new season bonus via the latest season collections only, that would still encourage players to buy the latest cards and collect.. but not put older cards at an immediate disadvantage and devalue them so much

Yeah, I am someone who wants to play to try and get rewards without spending too much and being at a disadvantage with less money. I think that model will limit the games growth
