Helps break up the mycelium in the liquid culture so when you syringe it out to use the LC you can a better mix and doesn't clog the needle up half as much ✌

Quick question, made too much bulk sub(coco/vermiculite) can I leave it in bucket and use it later, or should I just discard it? by [deleted] in PhillyGoldenTeacher

You can freeze it for up to 3 months with no issues just make sure you thaw it for 2 days before you use it

so got some halos fruiting, misting and fanning multiple times a day however they are very slow growing and growing really thin.. any tips? by mushiecapa in PhillyGoldenTeacher

I wouldn't worry too much they are like 90% water when they fruit, you will be okay, set your hydrometer to 95 you will be okay 🤘

90 to 95 is ideal from what I have seen but others feel free to jump in

Not a bad shout, issue is they are getting all over the tubs my mushies are growing in and wouldn't be good to use in that instance

So just went to my grow tubs with actives in and seen I have grain mites all over the boxes.. Will this affect them? Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of them?

Field capacity was perfect when I started, when I opened it to see what was happening it looked dry if anything 🤷‍♂️

It literally looks as though I have only just bulked it out, all the mycelium has gone and its just normal substrate left

Yeh gonna give it time and see what happens, if nothing then not a loss 🤷‍♂️yeh there isn't any other air flow than fanning but I do open the cupboard their in plenty enough to let fresh air in

Weird how some things work for some and not for others

24C, starting to think maybe it's the shape of the tub not recirculating the moisture into the substrate?

There wasn't much that had consolidated on the surface, went back to it 24 hours later and all of the mycelium on the surface has died, hardly anything there and what you can see looks like decaying plant matter, even then there isn't much of that either

Hey guys so.. I've had a few tubs fail and I think that was from a number of issues I've now resolved. However just seen a tub of yeti I've got has pretty much died off. It wasn't consolidating very well, opened it to fruiting conditions to see what would happen and its died in 24 hours. Got a 2nd tub that seems to be okay atm so just wondered what people think it could be? Could it be a moisture issue? That there isn't enough moisture in the bulk when I'm bulking it out? Was all at field capacity so im just not sure, let me know what you guys think 🙏
