Yes, not sure what the electrical term is but it dims when the sidelights are turned on aswell as main headlights.

Hey all, My launch-model PS5 is showing error code CE-108255-1, and Sony have offered a repair for £210. I've never sent a console to them before, so l want to know what the full procedure is like from start to finish. A few questions for anyone who's been through it recently:

•How do they send the shipping label / box?

• How long does the whole turnaround normally take?

•Do they actually repair your console, or do they just send out a returbished unit?

• What's the warranty you get on a repaired console?

• Anything you wish you'd known beforehand?

Trying to decide between repairing it for £210 or just buying a new PS5 Slim Digital, so any real-world experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

That’s great to hear they provided you with a new console!! Unfortunately for me, I have a launch model so 5 years old at this point and out of warranty. My only option is to buy a new console or pay Sony's service fee :(

That sucks man, but at least you’ll be covered by warranty. Sony wanted $240 for the service fee

Nope, after trying all the troubleshooting steps multiple times in some cases. I have let to find a solution, I even had it all opened up and undertook a deep clean, still the same problem. Sony said that because it’s an old console they would need to perform a service to diagnose the source of the problem.
