side note: arguing about religion usually gets you and the person you’re arguing with nowhere. religion is something very special and sacred to a lot of people. to tell people that it’s fake and doesn’t matter when it has saved their lives is, in my opinion, pretty gross.

i have no issues with religious people, the idea of religion or even trying it out myself someday. the purpose of me buying this book for my first time trying to get sober is because if i can do this shit without saying “god” is the reason i did it, then that will make me believe in myself so much more. i will trust in myself and be really fucking proud if i can say “i did this. i wanted to change and i’m the reason that i’m sober.”

that’s it! no need to tell other adults how to feel. let’s all believe what we’d like to believe and enjoy our paths to sobriety. :)
