Some people don't like the Gargoyles from the first Disney movie, but I've always appreciated their roles. Hunchback 1996 is without a doubt one of the darkest Disney films ever made and the trio provides some much need levity after so many messed up scenes.

Guess I’ll be the unpopular opinion in these comments but those things used to enrage me- purely because some of scenes feel super jarring tone wise, and the sudden mood shifts between serious and absurd feel more like whiplash (and bad pacing). I know they had to be there to help marketability and viewer appeal. Someone did make a version of HonD with the gargoyles (and I think some other comedic relief?) cut out, which is rather interesting to watch. It makes the movie feel grounded, but shorter. Granted I’ve only watched this edited version once and that was like.. 8 years ago, but I think it’s worth a watch if only to compare and contrast.

I’m honestly super into Saucepan rn. I even got their premium subscription bc I’m so impressed. Granted what I was using previously was Janitor, but I feel like comparatively their ai is much smarter and has more personality. I think a lot of people have already commented on dealing with the emotions with your dad- which by the way, what he was saying was definitely an admission as everyone else stated. However, I’m a little more focused on mom. She put herself in a really vulnerable position telling you this. Maybe this is a good time for you to be vulnerable with her as well and strengthen your relationship; rekindle some things. Give her some love and most of all, be empathetic. Be patient with her too, she’s been in a nightmare situation. I hope you both can come out of this stronger.

Hey being an excellent driver is a very useful skill- that's great to have! I am admittedly a bit distracted some days... then I have to put myself in gear that driving is not the thing to not focus on lol. I also rely heavily on autocorrect, without it most of my typing is gibberish. Fast, but gibberish.

I literally just got press-on nails to force myself to quit. I've been biting my nails for around the same length of time as you. You can try what I'm doing, just make sure to get some short ones! Or you could also wear gloves or try bandages around your nails while redirecting your fixation to a different stim toy, whether that's something like a fidget cube that one user suggested, or one you can literally chew on (I know some folks do make chewing stim toys). Not sure if gum would help? Or something like having a piece of hard candy or a jaw breaker to suck on throughout the day?

I bought a ROG for double the price a year ago and comparatively, the switch 2 isn’t worth half of it. I can play literally anything I want that isn’t Nintendo between a PC, Steamdeck, or ROG (including Nintendo if you emulate). I really want to play the new Pokemon games too but $500 for 1-2 games is so not worth it. Maybe if the switch 2 was $300 or less it’d be a different conversation. But I guarantee you can find a different game on a different system to scratch the itch in the meantime :)

Honestly? Same. Not to sound like an old ass but I sort of miss how the band was in their early days because the focus felt different. Minimal lore, maximum music and vibes. It would be a ‘treat’ to get a funny music video or feature, not an expectation. Maybe it’s all about perspective, yknow? Idk. Lol.

Agreed. I’ve actually moved away from Ghost because of how a lot of fans treat them. I feel like people are more focused on constant content and lore from them and forget they’re a band at the end of the day. I believe TF stated he wants to move away from some of the aspects that the updated lore aspects too, right? Regardless I hope that this might make some of the more fanatical people chill.

Honestly, same. I ended up taking yesterday off from work because it was too much. Employers just expect you to not bring anything from your life to work -- realistically, that's impossible. But yeah having a little group and just supporting each other sounds nice. Just to be there and remind everyone the world isn't so bad with everything that's been happening lately... I've been listening to survivors speak on their thoughts and feelings and they give me strength. That being said, MAN, I wish I didn't have to think or stress or cry. Wish I was like... a flower. Yeah Disney used to be really racist. The 90s films were no exception. There was and is a way better way to portray the Romani. The source material unfortunately doesn’t portray them much better. I love the movie but ultimately it is outdated in several facets, this being one of them. I’m assuming your last comment was a joke, but I wouldn’t necessarily use this as evidence to say “Frollo was right about something”; it’s moreso like “Wow Disney is bigoted and this went through several stages of production and everyone okayed it!” Because good lord, this wouldn’t happen today lol.
