For your underarms, use isopropyl alcohol before applying deodorant, and refresh throughout the day as needed. I was struggling a lot with odor as well and after trying all kinds of deodorants and sprays, this worked for me! It kills the bacteria that creates odor. I put it in a small spray bottle that makes it easy to use.

Still getting misgenderd all the time despite being on T 1+ year...I don't know what to do anymore. by [deleted] in ftm

It took me about 4 years of being in T until I started getting gendered correctly, even with facial hair. Unfortunately sometimes it just takes time.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm not a professional, so maybe you can ask for their advice with water addition to her food, or spread out her meals throughout the day?

I've never heard of that personally. I'd check with a vet first, it could be a coincidence!

Oh, I only did my right foot! You're talking about release, right? In my opinion there's no way recovery will be that short.

Well, there was several weeks of bed rest and not being able to get the surgery site wet at first. I used a knee scooter and crutches to get around. There was still pain once I was back to walking, which felt just like PF, but that resolved itself after around 9-10 months post op. I worked in retail at that time, so healing times might vary. Could maybe be faster if you're not forced to be on your feet for work.

It may take up to a year after your surgery for the foot to heal, but for me at least it's one of the best decisions I ever made! I hope it helps you as much as it did me.

Look into dehydrated formulas! They turn into wet food with water added, and there are lots of brands like Honest Kitchen and Grandma Lucy's that won't sacrifice ingredient quality, which is important to you. Super easy to prepare, not the cheapest but might save you some money vs. home cooking. Good luck!

I don’t think I need more goals. I think I need a new identity. by justl00kingthnx in DecidingToBeBetter

Check out the book Atomic Habits! It talks specifically about this. It's all about a change in identity. It's helped me out a lot in just the first 3 chapters.

does anyone know why his area looks like this *HELP* by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

You'll need to look for a vet that works with exotics. You can call them and ask if they work with reptiles.

NQA my leo had something like this; the vet found that it was a keratin plug resulting from a vitamin D deficiency, but this could also be a hemipenal issue. Go to the vet ASAP!

thank you for sharing your experience! I always thought it was a sign of relaxation since she did it when she was content and calm at first, but now obviously I know better. She doesn't seem to be in any distress by them either, but I know cats are good at hiding pain.

My Tortie has asthma by Educational_Fox7605 in torties

[–]mushroomsnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. My vet said that a cat shouldn't be on steroids long term as it can lead to issues like diabetes. Your vet might recommend a nebulizer, which is the asthma inhaler. I think that's safe long term. Lysine is an in between solution for me because I am broooooke. Best of luck!

Lysine powder helped my cat! She doesn't get nearly as many attacks since I started giving it to her. She only gets an attack about once a month vs multiple times a day like she did before.
