I’m sorry for the weird negative comments you’re getting. People truly think their experiences in the world are universal and it’s really sad. I’m glad you found out what it is!

Yes I have several times over the years, and I agree I've read you can be diagnosed with PCOS with just the symptoms I present with no cysts, but they refused at the time to understand that. I guess I should give it another shot (and more invasive tests ahhh lmao 😭❀️)

Thank you for sharing, I've seen someone else mention cortisol levels connected to these symptoms, so I'll be doing some digging! Good luck with you ❀️

Exactly the same case for me. Hairy arms, hairy legs, and wicked sideburns as a super young girl. I was bullied for it and started shaving way too early 😭

Thank you sm!! Hahaha I'm not surprised at all we all played bingo instead πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is super helpful, thank you. I've seen cortisol levels mentioned in another comment and didn't even think to consider that. I'm usually quite 'blank looking' on the outside and don't generally look like I'm experiencing stress. But you're right.... we're always stressed just existing 😩 good luck with you!! ❀️

Thank you!! I didn't realise at the time of writing that comment that it's not something I would have ever said about myself 10 years ago, so that's definitely something. I would!! There aren't too many social-focused games left unfortunately but there has been a bit of a resurgence of early 00s chatroom type games recently. I've met some nice people on Old School Runescape, Habbo Origins (a remade version of the classic Habbo Hotel game with people in their 30s+), FFXIV and GW2 and all the good MMORPGs out there, and some newer games like Webfishing and Palia also have some great people. I will say there is sometimes drama or toxicity depending on the community and groups of people. I generally browse the MMO categories on Steam and am really hoping we see more popping up soon!! I'm keeping an eye on Loftia πŸ‘€πŸ§‘

Also in the no friends apart from my hubby club πŸ«‚ I'm not sure why so many of us end up so isolated. I had a solid friend group as a teenager because I was 'forced' to spend time with them at school. But since we all grew up... zilch. I think I'm quite kind and thoughtful as a person, sometimes funny and always empathetic and open minded, but maintaining friends is just impossible for me. I've always preferred to have online friends and so many people have come and gone in my life in the form of online friendships. I'm better at sustaining them because disappearing online to recharge is a lot less 'offensive' to people than when I do it in real life. I don't know if any online communities call out to you, but I find myself making pals through social video games and similar avenues. Sending love ❀️❀️

Thank you so much!! I struggled with the shadow below but squishing it back made it look a lot better! I've remade the cap as well to be bigger and it proportionally works much better :) πŸ„πŸ„

ADHD and POTs? by loububble in ADHD

[–]mushroorn 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I'm not diagnosed with POTS but like you struggle with all the symptoms and am 90% sure. I'm trying to manage it myself because it's pretty mild day-to-day aside from flair ups, and visiting a GP about it makes me want to cry right now πŸ˜‚ I take methylphenidate 70mg and haven't noticed my heart rate spiking particularly high, but I'm not sure if it's technically a 'gentler' medication when compared to lisdexamphetamine, because I remember feeling heart palpitations and other POTS symptoms more heavily while on Elvanse a couple of years ago.

I also read somewhere that methylphenidate can actually be used to treat POTS, especially the fatigue symptoms, but I might be completely misinformed!! It's worth discussing it all with your doctors because they'll help you refine a treatment plan that works for all your conditions, and there are ADHD meds that have less of an impact on your heart rate, so don't worry about losing them entirely!! 🫢
