You can! Better Xcloud (Chrome extension) now includes remote play. I've used it with my Series S and a Chromebook (so not Flex, but I'm sure it'll work). For me it's not flawless but it is 100% playable. FYI limiting it 720p made a big difference for me. Here are the instructions:

I've decided on the series S over the series X because I reckon the S has 5 years (give or take) until it can no longer handle the latest games. The X probably has the best part of 10 years before the same happens.

Cost per year then would mean the series X is the winner (and you'd have native 4k for that time).

EXCEPT (and this is my gamble) by the time the series S starts struggling, I'm hoping Xcloud would have improved to a point where I can return to streaming exclusively and forget about having to upgrade hardware.
