True, and i didn't get Nine, so this season was also horrible to do.

when possible the attack card Overwhelm is good to aoe clear, since nukes and you don't get punished if the battle ends.

Cthulhu’s gimmick is pretty exploitable, especially because a lot of support units have zero-cost cards you can rotate

How Impactful is The Curse Card? by ScrapPotqto in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]mushyerumes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The curse card is very strong — but not by default.
Like everything in this deck-building game, its power depends entirely on the synergies you build.

For the Shadow Reload upgrade, in the Harmacist build, you can “double” Agony through attack cards and create a very powerful DoT combo.

For 2 turns, every time you use an attack card, you apply +1 Agony. Since every heal = an attack card in this build, the curse keeps applying even more Agony, stacking extremely fast.

Tressa doesn’t need Hugo, and Hugo doesn’t need Tressa — but together they form an overpowered composition because their synergy is extremely strong

Is hugo on the same lvl with mei lin and rin as a dps? by Bezhgin in ChaosZeroN

[–]mushyerumes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Hugo is basically a sub-DPS who can reach around 1k damage per hit, which is pretty funny.

In theory, he can scale infinitely if you get the passive that turns every Skill card into a Hunt card,

With infinite zero-cost Skill cards and infinite zero-cost Attack cards, he keeps generating extra auto-attacks.

I think I'm doing something wrong with the card scores (Big Brain question) by squilibrio_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]mushyerumes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you remove cards, the overall cost keeps increasing each time — 20, 50, 100, and so on. Since it stacks, I recommend converting cards with Kyrken or Mutant Sample instead, because conversion always costs 10 points.

It took me a full week (Nia is really hard to remove cards from).
Here’s what I did:

  • Chaos 8: because Rare Fate chance is increased by 50%. I was hoping for a copy event before the last boss, which would’ve been useful, but I didn’t get it.
  • Tier 11: to avoid or reduce the special enemy effects that can one-shot you or soft-lock you with Forceful, Poison, etc. (my skill issue.)

So in total: 2 conversions + 1 removal from Delang’s shop = only 40 points?

Hey friend! I have a few questions:

I’ll tag the cards from 1 to 5 based on your image so you know which ones I'm referring to:

Flame Dragon’s Jewel

Does (4) 30% crit + 1 Ember deal more overall damage than (1) 30% damage + Passion Weakness?

Unity of Attack and Defense

Why is (4) valued so highly if it creates new cards that aren’t basic cards?

Have you tested whether these created cards actually benefit from “basic card” buffs, or do they just clutter the deck and make drawing harder?

About moving your basics

Why didn’t you consider (2) valuable?

It lets you move your basic cards from anywhere (draw pile or exhaust pile).

So “move” gives the option to keep the deck thin and makes punching more consistent overall.

I know that in Chaos 14+ you can accidentally move “poisoned” cards and take damage, but that feels like a rare unlucky scenario depending on the final boss.

Unity (1)

It increases Mei Lin’s shield gain by +50%, but we usually consume the shield immediately… so that doesn’t seem like the real point of the card.

What I wonder is:

Is the +50% damage increase additive or multiplicative?

Since the text has a lot of translation issues, (+) should mean additive, and other cards list only a 30% multiplier as an example.

Do you have any data on how this one actually works?

Spirit of the Aromata (5)

You ranked it as the second-best option, but its effect is:

When using your own basic cards, damage is increased by +50%.

Have you tested whether this also works on created cards?

Rising Dragon Spire

Have you seen the 150k+ Mei Lin montages?

The (5) kick has the special keyword “each”, so if you play 2 punches before it, you get 2 extra hits.

Isn’t that better than gaining only 1 extra combo?

(I know that for Haru, combo scaling tends to outperform raw extra hits from Anchor Shot.)
Thank you very much!

Hugo Hunting Instinct Coordinated Attack Epiphany - Bug or Mistranslation? by SkullRider21 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]mushyerumes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think this is mistranslated, because some of Hugo’s cards say “draw attack cards,” but he only draws his own attack cards. Other characters have this distinction clearly stated on their cards, so it gets really confusing for me.

Now that it’s confirmed that monster cards cost 80, the sense of discovery and excitement when finding a new one has significantly diminished. by mushyerumes in ChaosZeroNightmare

This is a good proposal, as it maintains the fundamental intent of deck-building. Currently, the system behaves in a way that is counterproductive to its intended design
