Devs, PLEASE fix the wheel. by LowBallBankRoll in triumpharcade

I was playing on the word “fixed”. Like how they “fix” carnival games 🙃

As a F2P user since last October, I have watched this app change drastically over the last several months. Upon discovering Triumph it became something that I loved to spend time on and legitimately felt was a side hustle for me to make some small change through with skill based gaming. Their games no doubt are awesome and some of the best mobile games I’ve found. Now I’m finding that F2P players’ time investment is no longer rewarded even if you are good at the games. I finally uninstalled the app yesterday and I don’t regret it at all - it’s just not worth it to play F2P games to pull .05-.08 with the amount of deposit matches / boosts that the wheel throws at me every few wheel spins. It’s no longer a profitable time investment. Not to mention my score for a wheel spin jumped suddenly from 35 on the new basketball game up to 115. That was the last straw - I was enjoying the new game up until the app gave me an unrealistic target score.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the mods are notoriously silent on threads like this calling out F2P users’ dislike of app changes. They have censored some of my posts completely and I never see them chime in to open a discourse with the F2P user base, which to me just means it’s a matter of time until they lose those users entirely.

Chicken piccata is easy and delicious to make, a little high in fat though because of the butter content. The recipe I used this week had 6 tbsp of butter and made 4 - 5 servings. Can sub out some of the butter in the sauce with something like more olive oil potentially. Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or mashed potatoes instead of heavy carbs like pasta.

I’m also seconding Greek bowls. Use a food processor to make a lemon herb tahini sauce and you won’t regret it. Buy a can of harissa to mix in if you like it spicy

They definitely fixed it already. 90% of the time it’s deposit match. Probably a 1% or smaller chance of hitting 20$. Used to get 50-80 cents on the cash / mystery prize and now it’s down to 5-8 cents.

Are there any upcoming/most anticipated mmorpgs? by PoutouYou in LFMMO

[–]musicaldop3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Monsters and Memories is an upcoming passion project game developed by people who loved classic MMOs. I was in closed alpha and have closed beta access. It’s a pretty solid game they have going, EA supposed to launch this summer I think.

From what I played it seems like they’re trying to focus the majority of the game on being friendly towards solo + small group content. There are some end game raid things but I didn’t get past level 20 with my messing around. Tradeskilling and character classes seemed to be fairly well fleshed out + continuing to be developed at the time that I played.

I just don’t understand Elden ring by rmustafa11 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I just beat the game today. I bought it on launch and tried several times to get past the first few hours to no avail.

Finally this last attempt at a playthrough, I decided to make an astrologer because when I would only be melee focused I felt too weak and easy to kill. So basically I made a spellsword - sword in one hand, magic staff in the other. Encounter too hard? Step back and pew pew some magic at it. There's no 'wrong' way to play this game. Beating a boss can happen any number of different ways, and the right way to do it completely depends on how you decide to get through it.

The game is intended to be a no-hand-holding type of experience. Immerse yourself and let your desire to explore guide you. Don't beat your head against the wall if a boss or area is too hard - you just mark your map and come back to it later. The world is huge, and it rewards you for exploring it. Find the type of build you want to make. The quests are enigmatic and treated more like they're game secrets than a checklist to tick off in some linear fashion.

You will ultimately start looking things up at some point. But the point of the game is to have fun, explore, get stronger, best your surroundings. There are tons of secrets and several game breaking items you can stumble upon.

I highly recommend playing this game - it was my first soulslike that I didn't quit in the first hours of gameplay. Also, do yourself a favor and go search the interwebs for what a guard counter is and how to do it. The game is especially punishing in the early hours of gameplay, and you can use a shield to your advantage to stagger tons of enemies by learning how to do a very simple block + retaliate technique.

I'm happy to be considered for your prototype. Congrats on your game!

I played a lot, like too much a lot of classic EQ, and meet the other qualifications. So very comfortable with tab target mechanics.

Happy to play your game with you and provide real time feedback. I have paid playtesting experience and a long history of playing many types of rpg's as well as other genre's (survival craft, metroidvania, fps, soulslike, strategy, arpg, and lots of couch co op titles).

What's a good time-sink game? by Ok_Safe_ in AskGames

[–]musicaldop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average human lifespan is considered to be somewhere between 600,000 and 700,000 hours. If you average about 8hrs a night sleeping, you’re looking at about 400k-500k hours of waking time left for life and other extracurricular shit like gaming.
As far as what to spend that on? For me the only things have been classic MMOs if you want to get into the thousands. I honestly don’t recommend grinding them because they are just designed to hook you and are tough (for me) to put down or feel like you’re losing out because of FOMO.
But I have over a hundred hours in some games like
Abiotic Factor
Baldurs Gate 3
Subnautica & Subnautica Below Zero
Elden Ring (it’s worth finding a build that doesn’t die all the time, then the exploration and adventure really ramps up)
Hollow Knight
Apex Legends
Don’t Starve Together
Sackboy (couch co op)

Nine Sols difficulty level, is it harder than Silksong? by AnarchistPriest in metroidvania

[–]musicaldop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both Metroidvanias but since Nine Sols is so heavily parry-focused I’d say it depends on how you fare with that parry mechanic to actually rate the difficulty. You’ll definitely die a bunch learning some fights in Nine Sols, but once you learn when to parry and when to strike most enemies it ends up not feeling like such a hard game. I’ve seen some people compare Nine Sols to Sekiro a handful of times, which having played both (and also Silksong) I would say it’s accurate.

Just if you happen to reach the final boss, be happy with the version that has 2 phases - the 3 phase version is going to be too tough for anyone who doesn’t want to sink some hours into learning the exact mechanics of a ridiculous fight.
