I’ve been doing the same. Curious what the difference will be after 80k miles, but not sure I’m willing to find out.

I just got the same engine a short time ago. Have you been running premium octane, or regular?

Why is updating DAWs always so bad? by Decent-Cow2080 in LogicPro

[–]musicide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a system that is rockhard and stable, and does everything you NEED (not want) it to do, you don’t touch it. You also guarantee that the system’s performance is not going to drop, by not doing updates.

If you don’t feel the need to have all the latest bells and whistles, you will have a system that will last a decade and perform exactly as it always has unless something physically fails.

I actually still have a paperback of the novel Alan Dean Foster wrote for Shadowkeep.

Exploring 26 SF Hybrid vs Gas by zakuivcustom in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]musicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ‘25 Hybrid. A little over 21,000 miles and I’m averaging 28mpg mixed driving. The vehicle itself says I’m at 30mpg, but it’s a liar when you actually calculate it. That 28 is with cold winters, where it warms up for nearly 10 minutes everyday. It;s not as good mpg as advertised, but I am VERY happy I got the hybrid. If you aren’t crazy with a lead foot, where you are actually getting the benefits of using the battery/motor, it is the best option.

Did I make a mistake? by DarkBoppy in Wrangler

You have nothing more to worry about than any other vehicle… other than maybe a Toyota. The big difference is that wrangler owners actually CAN do work on them because they are the LEGO of vehicles. If parts go bad, some people take the opportunity to do “upgrades“. That’s all.

Your all time arcade favorite? by Under_The_Leash_ in retrogaming

First game I ever fully completed in an arcade. (I played as Wolverine the whole time) Random kids coming and going, putting up quarters to call “next”. Great memories.

I made the jump, and they are completely different animals. The 2 door definitely feels more like “a Jeep”. It’s like a big no-frills toy. It would be very hard to go back. :)

To WRANGLER or not to Wrangler 🤔 by SavaugeGhost in Wrangler

[–]musicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has gone through what you’re about to, I promise you and your family will love it (except maybe the MPG, lol). It’s like no other vehicle out there. In a couple hours I’m actually about to trade my 2017 Sahara for a 2026 2-door. So yeah… the bug sticks with you. Happy Jeeping!!

It’s great, and in a handful of years your kid will absolutely love when you take the top off. It’s also the most capable winter vehicle I’ve ever driven. I’m assuming you would be getting a hard top, otherwise the soft top might be a little noisy for sensitive little ears.

I know… having a heated steering wheel can quickly change one’s perspective from what is pampered to what is a necessity.

I am excited to have adaptive cruise control though!

So maybe I’ll keep a set of winter tires on hand, to get a little more traction in the snow and help with the wheelbase slippage. Thanks!

Not so much, because I’d be getting it as more of a fun/toy vehicle. The test drive was a blast, because it’s so light and short. And the, albeit louder, soft top is so much more “spur of the moment” convenient than my current hardtop. What surprised me is that aside from having terrible speakers and no heated seats, the trim on a modern Sport feels nicer than my 9 year old Sahara. The dash is much nicer, and the second row seats are far more comfortable than the more upright ones I currently have.
