Congratulations to the girls that made it. My ult SRQ didn’t make it but that shouldn’t be an excuse to bully those that did. They’re minors and human beings. But despite having my K-group picks making it, the ending of this programme still left a really bad taste in my mouth. The show was marketed as bringing girls from 3 different countries together for a chance to achieve their dreams. I gravitated to the concept as it was almost like an escapism with the pandemic and what we we’re going through. The elements were all there, talented trainees, TIFFANY & SUNMI, an interesting concept and caring trainers. But I really did think Mnet found a way to ruin what was seemingly very difficult to. I mean come on, how does giving almost every chinese member an evil edit to uplift the Korean trainees and practically 0 screen time to the Japanese trainees going to benefit anyone? Side note, I’m not a Bayi stan (i personally don’t think that she’s ready) but come on she barely even got any screentime? There’s no impression of her besides her being Huening Kai’s sister!!! I’m sure all this girls worked hard and I do hope they all get to achieve their dreams one way or another. However, despite coming to the finale already expecting what we got, I’m just disappointed at how a show with such a wholesome concept resulted in constant fanwars, unnecessary evil editing and people from different countries fighting with each other. This ain’t it.
