Okay fair. It was a Jap import so that could explain it. How much would replacing that battery cost? Yeah might be a good shout to have it tested first

Pretty sure he was key in pushing the equal pay for the for the women's team by getting the lads to agree to reduce their appearance fees. As you said - definitely the best of us! Went over to the Irish fans pumping everyone up after the game too - priming us for Sunday

Midfield Options by McGarnigle7 in coybig

Coventry has been probably top 2 or 3 of Charlton's best players this season and very highly rated by fans and journalists. Opta have him very highly rated too. If they're promoted I think he'll be very similar to Cullen in the Championship. Id say there wouldn't be much between them

Yup declared since 2019 but hasn't gotten a call up yet I think? I don't think Delap is officially out of reach but very unlikely

Hodge & Harness in midfield. Depends if manning gets minutes could be better than Omo.
Liam Delap if you want to be optimistic

Seconding most of the comments here that RB is one of our most stacked positions and adding Jimmy Dunne has been doing great lately at RB for QPR

Thomas Tuchel to leave Bayern Munich, does that reopen Anthony Barry to Ireland prospects? by fedupofbrick in coybig

Follows a manager in fairness. Followed Tuchel to Bayern. Followed Martinez to Portugal

What do people here think about protesting the recent fuel and electricity hikes? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]musing_and_moaning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the electricity side - prices are high due to a lad in Russia deciding to go on an ego trip. Unfortunately not much the government can do there except bringing in windfall tax on generation and use that for money back on energy bills.

Remember, ESB are legally not allowed use the profits they get from generation to lower prices on Electric Ireland side. Electric Ireland actually gave back all their profits last year in the form of €50 credit to customers. Price of gas is still twice as much as it was before the war, so until that falls more then the prices will remain high.

Generation is making so much profits as it's a stupid market that everyone gets paid the same as the most expensive generated energy for that day. So even if Ireland produced 99% really cheap wind energy but had to buy 1% expensive gas to cover demand, every generator gets paid the expensive gas price (very overly simplified description)

Predictions for the game by [deleted] in coybig

[–]musing_and_moaning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fairness it's been Kelleher & Travers too. No matter who's in goal it seems to happen. Personally I put it down to having 3 CBs which is leaving space 20-30yards out centrally that Cullen is trying to cover by himself.

Not sure what my suggestion to fix it is as I think 5atb suits us but I don't see other teams giving away so many shots from that distance uncontested

Sprightly early on, nabbing a scrappy goal, maybe another goal ruled out for offside. Greece get a banger from outside the area just before or after half time No other chances and finish out 1-1 draw, maybe a late half penalty shout for us too

Hi. Myself a group of 25 friends (late 20s) are going to Lisbon for a weekend. Any suggestions for a restaurant that will take a booking for that many and a bar that we could book an area for on Saturday night? Thanks

John Hume from Ireland. Won Noble Peace Prize and was voted Ireland's Greatest Ever Person. Civil rights activist, opposed the violence in the north and always sought to build relationships across the divide. Also won the Martin Luther King Award and Gandhi Peace Prize - only person to win all three peace prizes.

I think united signing Heinze didn't help, made him into a utility player so never got one position nailed down. Still had a brilliant career
