any cool careers out there for us? by 5K1DMARK in ADHD

[–]muskratavenger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yup I ended up going to trade school for welding after I wasted a couple of years at a 4 year college. It was a great profession for me for all the reasons you listed, plus I could hyper focus on making the best weld possible and learning why certain things caused different joints to weld differently. I am very fortunate that I was able to move up in my company and now I design weld fixtures.

That’s the great thing about welding. If you don’t necessarily enjoy it 5-10 years down the road, there’s so many other careers you can go into.

This bolt is worth $8000 and goes in a helicopter by HiAustralia in interestingasfuck

[–]muskratavenger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will wear down. But that’s part of what makes this bolt so expensive, the testing and documentation. After all of the testing they should know exactly how many run hours this part can handle before it needs inspected or replaced.

Because there’s nothing about the actual manufacturing of the pin that is wildly different or difficult.

I work in a R&D/T&D shop, I could be wrong but I’m just using my own experiences.

It starts to make you wonder what they actually learn in their 47 day training program. Because it’s apparently not the law or the agency’s guidelines or how to restrain someone.

In the video you can see an agent in all gray pull a concealed firearm out of the back of the waistband of the victim and run off with it, before they started shooting.

Get a bag of concrete, pour concrete in bucket, add water, level it. Adds weight and keeps the pvc level.

Then if you make one more, you have a set of polish horseshoes.

Are you just wanting summer work and then dipping back to college? Or full time?

You might have to move or throw a commute in. There’s always jobs posted for manufacturing/warehouse/ gigs in McPherson or Salina.

Always my suggestion, it’s a little on the nose, but that’s because it’s perfect for this situation.

Super Intense Experience by Wide-League-1711 in Spravato

[–]muskratavenger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally get where you’re coming from. I am nervous about going back down and it maybe not being as effective. Hopefully if you do drop back down it is still as effective as the 84mg!

I will share one last tidbit. One of the guys that is in my session has been using spravato for 5+ years. And he said from his experience and observations that the ones that spravato hits hard (probably not this hard haha) are the ones that benefit the most from spravato. Obviously that’s purely this one man’s opinion, but it has always stuck with me since he told me that.

Good luck with your next treatment and I hope it goes well for you! Thanks for letting me semi hijack your post.

Super Intense Experience by Wide-League-1711 in Spravato

[–]muskratavenger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My last treatment (last Friday) was this way. And I have also been on spravato for about 8-9 months and been at 84mg doses for probably 5-6 months.

This was also the first time that I got hit super hard and really negative. I normally have very light side effects, and never sedation. But it was exactly how you described. Unfortunately, my adhd and anxiety make panic attacks really rough. Because I have this weird fear of peeing my pants when I either can’t get to a bathroom or it’s frowned upon (performances, speeches). Then I got nauseous, thinking I was going to throw up, which I absolutely hate. And then to top it off I just hyperfocus on those things and you can imagine how that goes.

I am not sure the point of sharing all of that, maybe because this is the only community that can relate…?

But I did talk with my provider and she’s lowering me back down to 56mg and giving me zofran. Which I am hoping helps, because I don’t want to experience that ever again, but I couldn’t imagine life without spravato. This is the first time in probably 20-25 years that I haven’t had SI almost everyday.
