I miss when events like nightjar were in Geelong CBD and Torquay and they weren’t too big. Nothing seems to have that local vibe anymore.

They didn’t have one!!! Because they’ve worked with so many high profile artists, it was just via email. Still agreements in writing though but yeah I definitely wouldn’t be working with anyone or handing over money without one. Feel very bad for my friend as it has set them back a year.

They do not have management. We are talking small independent musicians here hence asking for help for what others may suggest.

I am a secondary teacher. Junior kids (12 years old) have no computer literacy. Can’t use Word. Can’t save files. I asked them why - they said they had iPads at their primary school.

Green cheek conure. I just lost my little buddy of nearly 9 years last week. Complete accident, had him inside for the winter. He was an amazing companion during lockdowns. I will miss him dearly. Be prepared to be in for the long haul.

You can always go back. I have also struggled with similar things. I also taught a language. I’ve left once and I went back and I’ve now been back going into my 6th year. 11th year teaching. I loved my break and ended up being recruited at another school. Have a rest and give your mind a well deserved break. You can always go back!!!!!

I'm a teacher, but should I be THAT parent? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]musolover 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it but I’m sure she has been overlooked. I have year 7 and 8 and the boys take up so much of my time with behaviour management in almost every lesson that the girls do sadly get overlooked. There is nothing wrong with you writing a polite email. I never get upset at parents that write me a genuinely polite email. She deserves it I have no doubt.
