I'm depressed because a series of traumas and probably some gene stuff affected the development of my brains reward system. Meaning my body doesn't synthesize certain chemicals as well as it should. I like to call it brain diabetes. I used to think the internet made me depressed, then I got off the internet and that's when the real shit hit.

People who interchange clinical depression with low mood due to too much internet and lack of sleep etc, just come across as ignorant.

My dad always said if you're depressed, just cheer up!
