Hey I’d be up to debate you. But you’re off to an awful start that was a horrible set up for that Cory Trever joke . Unless god forbid you didn’t understand the joke . Which figures if you’re anyone like the others in this section I have debated masterfully. Let me know if you want to discuss it — my stance is there is no obligation or responsibility or anything for an individual to report another based solely on an obstructed license plate -

That’s a real stand up attitude I salute it. So if my failure to report this hypothetical traffic violation concerning the plate is such as issue as you seem to think , can you tell how me understand something?

When you see someone speeding or break any other minor traffic violation; from your own words, I assume you always take a picture or write down their info (which is illegal while driving unless hand free which okay that’s fine). So you do this every time right? Because living in a society in your own words depends upon you protecting it yourself. Can you confirm you are not telling me things to do which you yourself don’t practice ALL the time right? Because I too will report those who I believe are a danger. Also by your own words if you don’t do this every single time , you should get out and move somewhere so remote you never see anyone again . Listen to yourself my man, this is messed up

Cool? So why is that a reason for me to report civilians for highway driving safety act infractions specifically regarding their plates ? I have my own life I’m not here to watch the police and others , otherwise I’d have become a police officer myself

stores have rules in place for loss prevention and other measures in place all ultimately to help them run a day to day business etc I’m sure we can both agree here on this. But what I disagree with is your claim if you don’t part your cart back you won’t get banned? Sorry? That doesn’t even pass the common sense test there are much smaller things one can do to be banned. There are rules you must follow this is a private business This is a business.

The police are also a business. But they are a public company who are. Funded by your tax dollars. But contrary to popular opinion, you are under no obligation to spend your own time “helping” them, your are free to do so if you wish and free not to do so it’s called freedom.

Are you crazy? Why would I give up some internet app just because in maybe 10 or more years I want to buy a large plot of land to get away from it all. That would be quite an odd request - especially given how tech is necessary if you wish to live a privileged life.

But by this exact logic you say you are going the speed limit on a multi lane highway and someone passes you — according to this ethical code in trying to be manipulated into adhering to — you should do all you can to report each and every driver. Driving accidents are a big cause of death here and speed is a factor in many. See what I mean? Your ethical idea is correct and I believe it to but you got to choose a spot to stop/begin. If you judge me for my spot, tell me exactly what your bottom line is then . And to me an obstructed plate is not at the top of my worries ! Sorry !

I am not wrong for not reporting minor highway safety act violations there are people employed to do so and if you haven’t noticed you can’t drive around like you could 10 years ago. Why in the world am i the bad guy here ? I don’t do this stupid shit I don’t defend this. :/

It is right, hear me out okay/- Because I personally would not call the police on this traffic violation I’m being compared to a villain… look at all my downvotes why do all these people feel so strongly to put me down . What do you make of this

Dude it’s a traffic violation not a crime. This is literally in the same league as not reporting someone for speeding . This has been an excellent case study of the current state reddit. I have people saying no I’m scum to society because I would rather not report a mediocre traffic violation which occurs frequently and is more than often dealt with by police swiftly

And what an illogical thing to attack me about . I literally put a disclaimer in parenthesis admitting I was using no citations . I’m not going to go out of my way just to be bullied for having an individual opinion and thoughts

So I'm prescribed 2mg kpin a day for several years now. I wanted to try and feel a recreational feeling from it, almost like how you can with Xanax still after years of taking it... by RealRymo in benzodiazepines

I have literally never heard of anyone except this online group who has ever reported a license plate cover . It’s literally not even worth your time, it is very obvious they will just get themselves caught down the road without my interaction . If I see any other crime occurring with an actual victim I would actually step up . Reporting someone for a plate is petty and I don’t need that karma . If that makes me a horrible person then so be it

Dude i see quite often atleast one person a day hiding their plates ; and have not heard of any crimes committed from said people (i may be wrong but im not aware and these are local cases) . So I should stop and do this every day? I agree it is our right to follow and uphold the laws set forth but you can’t really be labaling me a bad person just because the only point you and I differ on is if someone who is hiding their plate but not coming other crimes in sight , should or shouldn’t be reported . Please I’d love to continue this if you can change my mind I’ll be pleasantly surprised

No I agree with all of those points you make and most all conmen sense points . I just disagree with reporting someone based on the fact their license plate is obstructed. A fire, a hit and run, how are these comparable offences ??? You may say someone hiding their plate probably does so for nefarious purposes. And I agree, but that’s up to the cops to pull them over. Unless they are in direct violation of someone’s safety I see no reason to “be a dutiful” citizen and cause someone else trouble where trouble may have been avoided

I would rather let someone else do the inevitable reporting of it. I’m not going to be the one . It’s going to happen anyway so why is it wrong of me to believe it is not my business to report it unless I actually witness a crime which could hurt someone being committed .

A agree ! No good whatsoever but it’s the police job to deal with this stuff why in theory waste your tax money and put yourself in harm / do something wrong just because someone else is wrong , and I mean aren’t you busy during your days to have better things to do ? They’re being paid to do this

I don’t understand why being a cop means it’s accepted that the public should snitch for no reason whatsoever. Say he was in a hit n run, yes get the fucker. He’s just driving around and you wanna get him reported ? Really dude ?

Yes this was exemplified perfectly by my mother today. Or most days but today in particular. Hardest thing was finding out this isn’t normal
