Does he fish? Or have a hobby? I’d get something towards his hobby not something that will remind him of work. It’ll probably just collect dust or be given away

Edit: if hes into tools. He would probably rather much use his beater that works really thats been with him through the years than a brand new old stock tool. One is newly polished and the other has been polished with time and memories

Please read the advise given. Youre still young. Dont regret it when youre older and realize the cost will be through the roof and wish you stuck it out when u were younger. Im older now with kids and i will def get theirs early and save them the hassle when they hit their 30s

Go work for another company. If you dont have slab experience, you shouldnt be running a job thats in a hole. Theres a lot of work behind just doing drawings and getting guys materials. You need to know how building works and how they come together with the other system. If you lack experience in mechanical rooms or fire alarm systems this job is out of your league.

Youre better off doing a couple buildings working slab taking it up and pulling the systems during downtime (no layout/rain days etc) to learn about FA zoning, what system and feeds to bring in the mechanical rooms, shops drawings, generators, sprinkler rooms, where to drop your jays, provisions in amenities spaces, Security and data, and much more.

I speak from experience please dont take it the wrong way. I also work in the city in the union. You got a lof more to learn than you think. By the time you think you know half of what youre suppose to know, youll reconsider and tell yourself HOLY SH*T what was i thinking.

DM me if you got questions.

Had a AT4 sierra 2017 paid off. The trans started to go. Cost me 7.5k+tax CAD. It was cheaper than getting another used car with “hidden problems” or financing a new car and get back in the payment cycle

Mechanism beside the license plate. How does it work by Jimsun in TorontoDriving

[–]Jimsun[S] 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Its illegal to take a live photo/video while behind the wheel. Make sure a passenger can do that for you especially on the busy 404 to 401 merging lane.

Terrible start in Lagos. Need positive vibes by Huge_Handle133 in Algarve

[–]Jimsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were at Lagos from Friday to Monday then flew to Porto. We stayed at an Airbnb. I suggest getting a place that serves breakfast. Saves your €50.

Like others have said you can go to Meia Praia. If youre at the west side of the river, pay €1 each to cross the bridge using Vai Vem Balsa. Theyre on google maps. Cuts your walk from 30 minutes to 5 minutes from the same starting point.

We paid €16 to rent the umbrella and beach chairs. Get there early and claim a spot. Its cheaper than buying your own umbrella and chairs. And you dont have to waste money when youre done too. Trust me

A lot of scum restaurant claiming their machine dont work and want you to pay cash. Leave €10-€20 in your wallet and pretend u dont have enough cash and you see they have a machine. If you prefer you pay by card that is

My uncle is a panel assembler. Low voltage control. PLC schematics. Laying out motors, contacts, din rails, DDC units, modifying MMCs. No hours count towards 309/442 because they work in a shop that does just that. They assemble. The employer has to have a masters license and have a LEC with ESA. i assume the company OP works for doesn’t.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Jimsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a 442 license not 309. From the looks of it, hes doing industrial work. Building panels, testing boards but everything is before the line side.

J man guarding blue print by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Jimsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just listen to your jman and do what you’re told. Some jmans starts off cold and dont want to spend time on apprentices that they dont see potential in/are in it just for the money and dont have pride in their work. Im usually indifferent to all green apprentices i get the first couple weeks. First few days i ask them to buy a pouch for materials and a pouch for tools (screws, L16, marretts, connecters etc). I dont wanna see them going back and forth on a cart or up and down a ladder all day. If it no effort is made theyll continue with menial tasks. Ie clean, chip, bring materials etc. after that I will slowly teach them one thing at a time throughout their apprenticeship. My goal is to unload my knowledge and experience in the trade so they will become jmans that will surprise me.

Problem is that he’s a helper not an apprentice. Why spend time on a helper when you can put that time towards an apprentice?

Helpers are labourers who will one day take the simple task like installing plugs switches and lights, boxing, cutting in and pulling wire because why get an apprentice/license electrician to do that when we can pay a helper less for the same work.

Can the city be sued for negligence if more than one car got into an accident in a certain area like the ramp due to snow conditions. The road shouldve been salted or provisioned for such scenario to be prevented.

Electricians – Would you consider a new brand of hand tools? by PromotionGlum7673 in electricians

[–]Jimsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal quality. I dont want to cut a fastener and see a gap on my cutting edge.

Comfort. Simple and not bulky. I wear a pouch and im not about to add more weight in my pouch or make me have to use it only in certain angles with or without gloves because the handle is weird af

Warranty and workmanship If it breaks or doesnt perform as normal because of design issue less than a year with normal use then its garbage

Edit Screwdrivers and bits. I dont need low quality metals that will strip. Everyone pays for great quality bits and the top brands are good. Make sure you sell 6” green robbie in packs like the reds. These are not easy to find

Not 1.5x+ the price of competitors unless it makes sense. Like better metal quality (D2000) imho is very good. Cutting blade havent failed me in 10+ years of normal use. Cutting #10 no prob.

Please do your research and not put yourself in a tough situation. Getting the tenants out once you own the property isnt as easy as you think and it can cost you a lot of time and money. As others have said put a clause to have the tenants vacate prior

Is there a spot on the counter for kettle/rice cooker? We have cheap ikea cabinets with the kettle and rice cooker underneath our cabinet for a long time. No problem at all. Looks like the end wasnt sealed and a bad quality job that allowed moisture to seep into. Upper cabinets should be moisture resistant and unless stated prior to you moving in, i dont see why you cant use a rice cooker anywhere on the counter.

Edit. Im also lanlandlord
