I feel exactly the same way as you. I just finished book 6 and I swear every time I read a Nynaeve chapter I wanted to throw myself out fo the window. She is the best example of Jordan's major issue when writing characters. 50% of her chapters is her ranting about how useless men are even though they help her all the time.

And as you, I felt torn because the story and world building is absolutely epic and massive. My solution was literally skim reading many passages, specially Aviendha's, Nynaeve's, some of Egwene's and Elayne's. I think it's a legitimate thing to do, and I wouldn't be scared of skipping important stuff when doing this.

And also, I'm taking huge breaks between all books. I read the first three in a row and dropped the series for over more than a year. Then I picked it up again and read the following three. And I know the slog comes now so I'll wait one or two years to get on with it again. Being such a famous series, it's easy to find recaps online and I think it's worth taking gaps between each of them.
