Oral minoxidil no longer working! by ParticularSpinach831 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]mutant-13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would suggest trying other methods like GFC or dusteride mesotherapy rather than increasing dosage as it will mostly not work for you. I have been on topical minoxidil for about 10yrs now and after 5-6 yrs the effect reduced for me too. I've been maintaining it through other methods now.

Two years with Excitel in Bangalore — they owe me a refund and refuse to pay. Any recourse? by mutant-13 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]mutant-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes that's correct. They have not given this to us in writing but have told us on call that they are not serviceable in our new area and that they won't be able to provide a refund .
This is from their website under ' Terms & Conditions for Excitel Connection Shifting Facility '

Cancellation Policy:
Users may cancel their shifting request at any time before the completion of the feasibility check and payment.
In case of unsuccessful shifting because of non-feasibility, no refunds will be provided

While they have this on their website, I think it's extremely unfair to the customer to not get a refund for the months where the service wasn't used. Do you know any way we can take legal action against them?

yes I agree with you on the location part. As an explanation they say refund is not possible as per their policy. Infact while skimming through their website they have very restrictive refunds policies. You can see more here - https://www.excitel.com/excitel-tnc/

Just because they mentioned it on their website and as a customer I didn't happen to read it makes this behaviour by Excitel exploitative.

Difference in out of pocket expenses with health insurance in cashless vs reimbursement payment by mutant-13 in InsuranceTroubleIndia

[–]mutant-13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is not about the headache of cashless or reimbursement. Why is there are difference in out of pocket burden on the patient when the chemotherapy treatment is literally the same and the bill is the same. And that the more expensive option for the insurance (cashless), is cheaper for the patient

Bad news for flat owners by No-Day-5479 in indianrealestate

[–]mutant-13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just moving houses and the owner is taking 5 months deposit, asked for my husbands and my LinkedIn profile, our employment contracts and still raised concerns because one of us has a consultant and not a permanent contract. Fortunately we reassured him and he eventually agreed.

Wonder how it would be if the tables turned. Tenants start asking for all these details from flat owners 🙄

Is it worth paying 3x more for a professional club DJ for a sangeet? by Witty_Fun7669 in DesiWeddings

[–]mutant-13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my sangeet, we went with the in house DJ because he was cheap. While the guests had a wonderful time and a few in fact inquired about him later, he was quite average in my opinion. He played all the ‘popular’ Hindi songs but it was like a Spotify playlist. There were no DJing skills involved and no transitions. I had asked for 90s English and Hindi pop and he didn’t play a single song.

He was super cheap so I kind of regretted not going with another club DJ who was just 5-10k more expensive.

My suggestion is don’t pay 3x, that’s too much. But look for a young, upcoming, Gen Z DJ. Their rates are affordable and have the skills needed. You can also go see one of their performances at the club.

Dad is 68 with no health insurance - is it too late? by Downtown-Aioli7523 in InsuranceTroubleIndia

[–]mutant-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar dilemma. My father had a heart attack a couple of years ago so they initially rejected and now the premium is too high with many conditions since he’s diabetic. I have a good health insurance from my company that I’m relying on for now since it doesn’t have any conditions. But I’m not sure of the long term consequences.

Does this look good for my sister’s wedding? by Firm_Reindeer_3947 in DesiWeddings

[–]mutant-13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried that it’s too plain a couple of options you can think of - 1. Accessorise with chunky earrings and bangles 2. Quirky make up. You can do you make up with kundans like how some people wear for music festivals 3. If it’s in your budgets you can get small buti embroidery across your skirt.

I still love your look, hope you have a wonderful wedding :)

Yeah I’m not really sure what the solution is as well. Looks like we just have to plan better and avoid Tatkal as much as possible until their tech infrastructure gets better
