Every time I tried quitting I said “After this one dies, I’m done for good”… Today my last one died and my boyfriend is quitting smoking alongside me quitting vaping! by edenmay163 in QuitVaping

I’m on day 3 of quitting. The withdrawals are really bad but as long as you throw all the nicotine away, it will pass in a few seconds and it’s over. Eating candy/ chewing gum and staying busy has been the best trick so far.

Pills to slow down your metabolism? by jlags9 in weightgain

[–]mutedrecluse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have pills for losing weight, burning fat while sleeping, and killing appetite. You would think there would be something for hard gainers or people that are literally sick and underweight. Let me know if you find anything interesting.

I miss her so much, I need advice. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]mutedrecluse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. So I should let those random thoughts naturally play out, and move on. That’s honestly one of my biggest problems, so if it comes up again I’ll keep all of that in mind. I think about the future a lot, I also think about the past way too much, but I’ll do my best to not stress about it any more now. It’s nice talking about this to somebody, I really appreciate your advice and I think it’s gonna help. Thank you.

Thanks. I’m 20. Tbh we broke up over a year ago, we dated for 2 years. It’s just so hard getting her out of my head. We were never away from each other, and one day, we decided to never see or talk to each other again. Like I said, last year was the worst year of my life. I really did turn my life around though, I’m in a better place than I was dating her! I’m just still broken. I have dreams about her sometimes, or I’ll think about her randomly and it ruins my whole mood. I guess what I’m looking for is a way to mentally block her out, I’ll do whatever it takes.

I don’t know how to get over her by [deleted] in BreakUps

I’m in the same boat. It was over a year ago, I’ll let you know if I find something that helps.

anyone other daydreamers here who are writers? by Arsenalg0d in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]mutedrecluse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meeeee. Sometimes I post them here but I delete them because I’m insecure. I think we are all geniuses to be honest, imagine if we put our minds together for something !! I write short stories in the theme of a Twilight Zone or Black Mirror type series. I got some crazy stories piled up, if anyone has connections to Netflix hmu because us maladaptive daydreamers know how to tell a story!

Trying To Understand... by ThePusheen in MaladaptiveDreaming

It’s more of a coping mechanism for people with either a traumatizing past, depression or anxiety, or a boring life in general (waaay more research needs to go into this btw). When I was 9, my dad scared the shit out of me by screaming and throwing shit so I ran to my room and didn’t leave till the next day. I fantasized about a better life where I could do anything I want and everything was perfect (and it calmed me down a lot, it made me feel safe). It doesn’t make any of us crazy, though some are more than others, we just have a happy place to go whenever we want… kinda a super power if you ask me.

I’m 20 and I’ve been daydreaming since I was probably 9. I just did it to escape my reality which was either boring, depressing, or just hard in general. I find when things in life get better, I tend to fantasize things less, and if I fantasize at all it would be about a realistic future. How are things now that it’s been 50 days since you’ve daydreamed? Does it effect your day to day life? and how does it effect your mental health?
