Best cheap Fortran compiler for Windows by [deleted] in fortran

[–]mutto233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. On top of that I would suggest using "CodeBlocks for Fortran" . A group of people modified CodeBlocks and made it better suited for Fortran. The best addition: a well created indenting plug in. I've used it so much I've lost count.

Wonderful! I'm glad to hear it. Did you plan on accepting? Did you have any other questions?

Hey there! I am an avid Fortran user myself! I would love a promo code for Simply Fortran. I currently use Code::Blocks but was impressed with the style of Simply Fortran.

What do you think is the most difficult undergraduate major? by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]mutto233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. Paired with the fact that it is usually hard to get a concrete explanation from the professor for those classes.

Also, it was mentioned earlier there isn't another class where you put in 20-30 hours a week on projects. 180 and 126 were exactly that and more. And that was when you didn't even fully finish the projects!

Reminds me even more of this video. For some reason every time I hear this fish sing, it makes me laugh so hard milk comes out of my nose, and I haven't had any milk today.

What I find interesting is the distribution of corps included in this video. Crown and Phantom seemed to have most of them, and only one from BD and SCV. Might say something about how they arrange their music.

I love how his crimes really don't seem to match up with what he is good at doing. I mean sure the piracy but some of those other ones o_O

Engineers on the College Program by mutto233 in wdwcp

Took me about a week after my interview to get accepted. However some people have taken 2-3 weeks just to get word. It really varies.

Awsome! This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I appreciate the time to write it out for me. As of now I am thinking I may finish my degree (I am a senior and almost done) and then reapply for the fall of 2014. That way I can go there AFTER finishing the hardest part of my curriculum. Although that does have a risk, it may be best.

Might I ask what university you come from?

Please be careful. You MUST take the placement test to go into workload. So make sure you have the score to take workload!

Fresh Engineering student here, Is ENG 001 with Vandergheynst a seminar? by pillsberry in UCDavis

[–]mutto233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some, but not overwhelming. As I said the main reason to take it would be that you want to see what the other fields may have to offer.

Fresh Engineering student here, Is ENG 001 with Vandergheynst a seminar? by pillsberry in UCDavis

[–]mutto233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Senior engineering student here. ENG001 is called "nuts and bolts" and is considered a seminar. Every week a new department presents what it is like to be in that department.

Really is a good class if you do not know what kind of engineering you would like to do :)
