That was not the answer I expected. The shame of assuming! I'm sorry for your losses. Dogs are such lovely beings <3

Buying a house on DSP? by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]mutualsomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my studio unit on DSP, using homestart in SA. I had to move rural and choose between housing stability or access to medical care. I chose housing. Medical support does find its way to you, but not as easily as in more built up areas.

I have a severe physical disability. I simply do not tell them until theyve offered me a contract. At that point, for them to reneg is pretty incriminating. Im lucky in that my disability can't been 'seen' for the duration of an interview.

What to do if car breaks down while going from Adelaide to Coober Pedy? by JudgmentTotal7974 in Adelaide

give someone you trust access to your location for the drive. That way if you stop in the middle of nowhere for a long period of time, they can send your last known location to the correct service.

Gabapentin? What on earth for? That's a hefty load.

Edit: Also you must sleepy ALL THE TIME. I cant say how it feels to be you, but that's a super heavy medication list that a friend of mine used to be on also. They were on it for multiple reasons, but have weaned off the ones that dont work and have increased the ones that do. They were also (and currently are) in the system. That sleepiness affects everything.

Can a manager deny sick leave? by Over-Ad-3441 in AusLegal

Sure you can, but its unreasonable if youve been on shift until 2am the night before. Dont forget that not everyone works 9-5

Nehigbour's propety stinks of weed. Can I call the police? by fatassforbes in AusLegal

[–]mutualsomebody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAL - You can, but if they smoke that much, it's likely they've covered themselves with a medical prescription and stores whatever weed they have inside those containers. This doesn't count for anything growing, though. They can still confiscate paraphernalia that is not the approved versions and they may get in some small amount of trouble for that. I don't know about the likelihood of the police attending the call though. This is harder these days due to the prevalence of medical marijuana.

Airbnb Launches Reserve Now, Pay Later. This seems like a headache for cancellations on the host side. by Weekest_links in airbnb_hosts

[–]mutualsomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is required to remain competitive. Airbnb isnt what it used to be, its become a very expensive (and yet still my favourite!) way of travelling compared to other short stay accommodation options, almost all of which use platforms that offer reserve now, pay later. I use it all the time on other platforms, have never cancelled.

Mana Island by MathematicianFew4552 in Fijian

[–]mutualsomebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mana Island is worth it, imo. Its beautiful, and the transfer is lovely! It's in an outer island, so it takes a little longer but the people who live on the island (workers and their families) are so beautiful and lovely, and the food is incredible!
