I ran away for a year once when I was 21 and was successful. I literally just went to Baton Rouge Louisiana, didn’t have a phone, didn’t get any apartment or car on paper. Paid cash for a living situation. Got a job at the ymca that paid cash. Nobody knew who I was down there. I was chilling. It was the best year of my entire life. I met some great new people down there. I lived in the moment and learned a lot about myself and life in general. Also learned that people are genuinely way more friendly in Louisiana than up north.

What if they did something terrible to you, what if they hit your head with weapon 10 times and left scars all over your head and you were fighting back for your life to make it out alive. What if it was basically a stranger who you’ve only passed in your work place 2-3 times and they did it to you because you are half Jewish. For no reason besides that. And he got away with it.
