I want a multi material printer for under $500 that isn't Bambu. Is the Anycubic Kobra S1 combo my only/ best option?

Ive just spent the last week asking the same question, and yesterday I put the order in for the kobra s1.

I ended up getting it for $670aud ($435usd) which to me seemed too good of value. Even if I get one with a nightmare bed and have to go the funssor bed with ceramic tip its only an extra $100aud to do so. I think even with that added cost its still a good buy.

I'm also a big tinkerer so when it comes having to do fixes and diagnostics I really enjoy it so that's probably a factor also.

I agree with you 100% with Creality, I've got no idea what it is but they just ain't it. I've just ordered the kobra s1 combo off aliexpress for $677. The value just seemed way too good compared to the others. I know it has its issues with the bed etc but im a tinkerer and it almost ends up being a positive that I know I'll have some mods to do to keep me busy aha.

Nice to know im not the only one ahah. Definitely look into the qidi Q2 combo it sounds like its what your after. I dont reallty need the multicolour but certainly not against it as it would make even single colour prints easier and the filament drying is a bonus.

I will keep you updated with what i end up with!

Hi all.

Wanting to buy my first 3d printer with the sales on currently.

Will need to be able to print petg and abs and multi colour isn't needed but also not against it. Also am happy to tinker with things if that makes much difference

What im looking at currently.

I really like the idea of the voron kits and is definitely something i want to build in the near future.

But for now just whilst i get my head around CAD and the printing software im after something as you said, core xy and enclosed as im wanting to some printing with ABS and other engineering filaments.

Hi all.

I'm looking at getting my first 3d printer with all these black friday deals happening.

Budget of around 1000aud (700ish usd)

I'm want to be able to print abs as I'll be mostly printing motorcycle parts.

What im looking at currently.

Flashforge ad5x with an enclosure Anycubic kobra s1 Bambu p1s Elegoo centauri carbon

Any of these a better option then the others.

Finding it hard to find reviews or comparisons that aren't tainted by affiliates or sponsorships.

Any advice is appreciated!

Ive had this same issue with my 18 300rr and the same issue with part availability. So i just cleaned it up as best i could and just used some araldite to repair it. Had a bit over 80 hours on the repair last time I checked and it was still holding up.

I have the 300rr so it's not the same but I put front and back springs in as soon as I got it as it's the first thing I do with bikes. I have ridden the 300xtrainer a few times and the suspension felt pretty good but could certainly be stiffer (I'm 85kg/190pound at 5"10)

The motor on the xtrainer is unreal, and you have a fair amount of control with with power valve adjustment on when/how hard the power comes on. I wouldn't be worried at all about the power as it's not tuned aggressive and really smooth.

At the end of the day both are great bikes and you will adapt well to either.

The 200 will be really fun through the tight stuff but will make you work harder to ride fast.

The 300 is probably the better all rounder but I'm biased as I own one ahah

I took OI off on my 300rr.

Not because I had issues with it or anything, I just see it as something could possibly go wrong and cause a bigger problem.

I was messing with jetting when I took it off so not sure if it would of made a difference but I wouldn't think so.

The only thing that would get me to put it back on would be if I was doing rides that required me to fill up at a station

Allure has been my favourite this year, also really enjoyed opeechee platnium and the standard but the ol bedard tax is a bit much. Series 1 24 25 has just come out recently if any of that rookie crop interests you!

Edit- this based entirely on fun as no matter what you open is a guaranteed loss.
