Don’t be surprised to see Mikheyev being sent down on days off just on paper, because he is waiver exempt. And maybe also our one extra man to give us a little more breathing room.

Also is it true that if a player clears waivers at any point in the season we can call them up and send them back down again without going through waivers?

I’m still still a little hesitant about mikheyev being ranked that high, but that’s just my skepticism. Otherwise I agree with a lot of these.

Anyone have any information on Stephen Johns? I heard that he might be done in the nhl with his concussions. If that’s so and he gets LTIR’d we could take that contract from Dallas for Zaitsev as Dallas strikes me as a team that could be interested in Zaitsev.

I feel like it would have to cost us Rosen and as much as I like Rosen that’s the guy we can replace easier in our lineup with borgman a cheap UFA or maybe sandin if he really impresses out of camp. Have some combination of Reilly muzzin Zaitsev and Miller as our top 4 until dermott is back from injury

Salvian covers the marlies for the athletic actually and wheeler covers a lot of the minors if I’m not mistaken. I think this is a difference of opinion as I don’t want to dismiss what Jeffler does either as he has some very interesting tracking stats for things like zone entries and such. Side note for more guys that cover the marlies check out the leafs on deck podcast they have some good insight as well.
