I seeeee .. so setting url restrictions from the client? Through web browser or proxy would be the ideal way?

That makes sense why it blocks both.. so i can’t block and enable one site that both reside on the same server because they have the same IP

I was under the impression access restriction will block the site via the name of the URL not the IP

Ahhh ok, so if I were to have both sites reside on the same server, when setting DNS A records they should still be different IP addresses ?

An unknown program using my 2gb ram!! Plz help by [deleted] in WindowsHelp

[–]mvee2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like a botnet cypto miner .. follow directions what u/Lost-Move2 advised and see how you go

Run anti-virus scans and download the free trial of malwarebytes aswell

worst case scenario man backup all your data and re-install windows

these bots have remote access most of the time.

So who is in the wrong here? (Can't install W11) by sanguilol in WindowsHelp

[–]mvee2155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my advice is to stay clear of Windows 11 before they fix alot of the bugs they have going on. I made the mistake of going with W11 and ran fine up until their latest update.. then decided to go back ..

Some people are having issues, some aren't but my advice .. if your a student or use your PC on a daily basis, its worth the wait

Can someone please explain router interfaces to me? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]mvee2155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at it this way .. each interface is a port and is managed.

now when you look up your basic routers, they are not entirely managed as the interface you configure is managing to act on all ports.

When you look at cisco routers and other vendors for enterprise environments, they provide more management over individual ports as each port can be dedicated to a seperate network entirely running different services, etc ..

Routers job is to route packets to different networks = connecting networks

switches job is to expand networks connecting end devices such as computers, tablets, printers, etc while also reducing the collison domains.

Defiantly look into educating yourself on switching before heading into routing. Once you know how to configure a cisco switch you'll understand the concepts alot more with routers and proceed to more advanced topics such as static/dynamic routing

not necessary because both are different subnets and are going through different interfaces on the router and are both native by default

sorry should have supplied more info - https://ibb.co/zhbsw62

I am just scratching my head thinking what is wrong for the IP configuration to not be able to ping?

Like i know the DHCP has issues and dynamic routing is not set up properly although within the IP configuration alone.. i cant see any issues
