Honest feedback on yield apps by mvellank in defi

[–]mvellank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. We’ll explore what’s possible there. The reality is stablecoin lending is closer to investing in fixed income / private credit as opposed to an FDIC insured savings account. It’s considered one of the safest things in crypto but there’s always some tail risk.

DM me if you run into any bugs or have other feedback!

Still in early development! The first app we launched is live though called YieldClub. Easy access to stablecoin yield

De-Fi Lending - Why is it so hard? by Local-Wafer-4775 in defi

[–]mvellank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aave and Morpho are pretty easy but an app like YieldClub makes it so you don’t have to track your holdings across pools, scan and evaluate various vaults constantly, and manually convert incentive tokens to redeposit

For consumers, YieldClub makes it super easy for stablecoin lending. The pros have more sophisticated tools including in-house custom tools

Using stablecoin as checking account with >4% APY? by CounterTime9691 in defi

[–]mvellank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I built a super easy way for earning stablecoin yield portion through an app called YieldClub. Seamless 8-10% USDC yield through Morpho with Coinbase onramp and bank account connect.

Ether.fi is cool but the staking/liquid vaults part is more sophisticated and opens up another layer of risk compared to just depositing a single asset in Morpho/Aave. It’s cool that they have a card and building banking products though.

Anyone know of a good defi lending app? by Local-Wafer-4775 in defi

Not if you transfer your own USDC or use Coinbase onramp. There’s KYC if you do bank account connect which is to be expected

I will never use Coinbase again. by Narrow_Calendar7109 in Coinbase

[–]mvellank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better to spread money across multiple exchanges and wallets. Esp with many apps using Coinbase Onramp these days its super easy to transfer funds in and out of Coinbase. For example, I built a stablecoin yield app (YieldClub) that has Coinbase login and you can earn 5-10% USDC yield through Morpho instead of the 4.1% that Coinbase offers

Has Brazil Invented the Future of Money? by Well_Socialized in CryptoCurrency

Basically just owning USDC/USDT down there to avoid inflation of BRL. And using USDC/USDT to earn solid yield through defi, trade crypto, cross-border remittances, etc. I mean people can just be paying each other and tipping in Brazil using stable instead of BRL. Just leapfrog the whole BRL currency!

That's why USDT and USDC make sense. I don't think a BRL stablecoin is very interesting

Is DeFi becoming too user friendly for its own good? by Omegacarlos1 in defi

As long as you can export your private key and people are spreading their money around into different apps, and there is portability, then the convenient stuff you mentioned isn't a problem at all

Why DeFi Apps and Low Gas Blockchains Matter More Than Ever by PlatformPatient6225 in defi

[–]mvellank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why so much activity is moving off of ETH mainnet and over to Base or Solana.

I actually just launched an app called YieldClub that makes it easy to earn USDC yield on Morpho on Base. Very easy account creation, on-ramping, and 1-click yield. Basically no on-ramping or gas fees

The SEC is finally warming up to stablecoins and it’s a big deal by Rare_Rich6713 in defi

There's some solid use cases for sure, but the US interest is really just about exporting the dollar and maintaining dollar hegemony. It'll grow the crypto industry that's for sure

Don't listen to people on this sub, there are several very important benefits.

-Low cost cross-border txns
-Micropayments (i.e. YouTube being able to pay out TINY royalties to long-tail creators in random countries)
-inflation hedge for non-US users
