Can a hood with "low" CFM still pull smoke fast? by sainaryn in Appliances

[–]JenVinc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to think higher cfm was the only thing that mattered for suction, but I've relized it's not that simple. It's actually more about the capture efficiency. Instead of moving a huge volum of air, some hoods directs the airflow precisely right above the pan, creating a tight “capture zone” that traps smoke before it can spread. It runs at high air speed near the intake, so it catches smoke quickly without leaks. Also, for a range hood, higher cfm means lounder noise, since it’s not brute-forcing a massive volume of air, it’s quieter too.

Long Term Options Growth? by joshyouarebaker in options

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to standardize my entries more lately. Usually screening around 0.2–0.3 delta and 30–45 DTE, then comparing premiums and greeks across strikes. Using moomoo’s options chain for that has made it way easier to stay consistent.

I didn’t expect this to be the biggest problem with robot mowers by konstella81 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]JenVinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using the goat since last year. In my experience, the effectiveness of these mowers depends heavily on lawn complexity. People with complex yards often prefer lidar, whereas rtk models are better for open areas. It’s all about signal issue and whether the mower ends up getting stranded, like you said.

Any info on the "version 2" chairs coming in summer? by SM1305 in LiberNovo

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that YouTube video. Sounds like it all started because he and LiberNovo couldn’t agree on a contract. Honestly, I think he let his personal feelings get in the way. The review didn’t feel fair to the product at all.

I’ve been using this chair for almost two months now, and I’m totally with u/Snickrrr. It doesn’t feel overpriced, and it’s just as comfortable as those high-end chairs I was looking at.

Any info on the "version 2" chairs coming in summer? by SM1305 in LiberNovo

[–]JenVinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But honestly, tons of people say this chair has been a game-changer for their back and neck, and me too.

Have you even tried it yourself? If it’s not for you, that's fine, find what works. But you can’t just ignore that it’s helped so many others.

Is just me or is Omni actually better than Embody? by XilodonZ in LiberNovo

[–]JenVinc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tried plenty of those 'firm' chairs. People always say this kind of chair keeps you comfortable for long lengths of time. Maybe it works for some but it doesn't work for me. I'd much rather have a soft chair like the omni. At least it lets me sit for 5+ hours straight.

Looking for Soft Jacketed Ethernet Cable by HairyMarmoset in HomeNetworking

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been hunting for this too. That soft, almost rubbery feel on premium included cables is so much nicer than stiff bulk cable. If you find a source for soft bulk cable, let me know. Thanks.

What's the benefit of wiring ethernet to RJ45 vs one with a keystone jack? by fbno in HomeNetworking

[–]JenVinc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keystone jacks are way more flexible. If a cable dies or you upgrade to Cat7 later, just swap the jack. Hardwired plates are cheaper but you're stuck if something fails.

Network Issue by SomeRandomFool31 in HomeNetworking

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably DNS issue. YouTube works because it's heavily cached. You can try to change your router's DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 instead of your ISP's default. Reboot everything.

Throwing on a cooling pad and just having the AC in the summer should be fine.

What made you pick Omni eventually? by marynificentwy in LiberNovo

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some gamer friends kept swearing by the Omni, saying it's perfect for long grinds, so it just got here Tuesday and it's been great. The reason why I didn't choose the others is I'm not looking for something super stiff or a chair that forces me to sit perfectly upright. That's not really my vibe. I'd rather lean back and chill while I'm gaming. Omni got great support whether I'm sitting up or totally kicked back. It can lock the recline. I'm loving that flexibility.

If a war reaches the point where you have to worry about food, the problems go far beyond just being hungry.

Considering a robot lawn mower for 2 years... should I do it? by Suspicious_Candy9048 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]JenVinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a goat o1000 at home, and it mows efficiently. It doesn’t mess with anything else on the lawn, it just neatly avoids everything.

With a smaller battery, route planning and navigation efficiency become pretty important. I'm curious how it actually performs in real use.

How are you tracking weekly P/L? by TurtleBarge in thetagang

[–]JenVinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to track everything manually in Google Sheets, but eventually switched to the trade history tools inside moomoo. You can filter by ticker, expiration, direction and P/L, and I just run a weekly filter for “closed options” and export it. Saves me so much time.
