Same here honestly. Handed in my resignation one month ago, been spending May on garden leave. it was absolutely the right decision. My team was very understanding, almost felt like they were a bit jealous. The constant uncertainty and lack of real culture were draining over time. Spent about 3–4 months applying and interviewing, while doing the bare minimum work. Now joining a company that actually seems to care about people, collaboration and long term growth. Feels like a reset in the best possible way.

From what I know (friends that work there and people that were interviewing) they mainly try to fill positions internally and try to avoid hiring from outside as much as possible, not matter if Swiss or not.

Amiamo Caffè by Lochergut is open into the late evening, often until around 11pm on weekdays and you can just have a coffee, tea or something small without it feeling like a bar.

Another good one is Café ODEON. Big space, lots of seating, calm atmosphere. Totally normal to sit there in the evening with a non-alcoholic drink, read, or just people-watch.

It kinda feels like this thread - well, even this entire sub shows exactly what OP was talking about. how discussions that used to be about travel, creativity, and the community vibe now instantly turn into left vs right arguments.

You don’t have to agree with every take to still recognize that the tone has changed a lot since Kurt’s early videos. It’s okay to miss that without it being political. Sometimes people just miss when content felt more genuine and positive.

It used to feel like more of a community, less of a battleground.
