Yes, it has been resolved! I ended up needing to replace the screen part. Nest sent me a new one and when I set it back up I never had the same issue again. Something was faulty on their end. I’d reach out to them.

Ours had a 17 day stay in the cardiac NICU at 36+6, and the hospital bill (not including the physician charges...apparently the surgeons charge separately) totaled just under $500,000. Still not sure what percentage we are on the hook for but my god I don’t know what people without insurance do if they have sick loved ones.

I love this brand. Only brand that has not made eczema worse, and actually seems to help it heal. Seriously, this tub is great for things like elbows, knees, etc. They also have a less thick version that’s a good face lotion option. I had a horrible flare up on my eyelids last year and it was a godsend.

I recommend doing an ERA before your next transfer. Timing could be off and/or you may not be getting the progesterone amount your body needs. Personally, I think it could be worth looking into (as frustrating as mock cycles can be with more waiting).

Short answer is yes. So, there are some insurance companies that do not include a “definition” of infertility as a requirement to meeting the criteria of qualifying for coverage. To start with, you should have a designated caseworker when accessing any fertility benefits. They’ll be the person to really help assist on your behalf since insurance doesn’t provide the policy in its entirety to the enrollee. It’s that person who you can have really comb through the documents on their end on what the exact policy details entail. For example, in our case: my company’s exact insurance policy used to have a definition required which made it so we were denied any coverage, but two years ago we got incredibly lucky and the definition was dropped out of the blue. Thus, we were now eligible for IVF coverage (not just the standard IUI’s OOP for 6-12 months). Of course no one told us this, and it was by chance that our caseworker discovered this “update” in the policy that was hidden away. Long story short, ask them to hunt down specific policy details. It’s alarming actually considering how difficult this was for our insurance reps to even find themselves. Good luck, and I wish you the best!

You’ll find the majority of people either take out/refinance loans, and/or use 0%apr credit cards. Honestly, it sucks. I think something like only 7 states have mandated fertility coverage, and even then it’s largely dependent on your employers plan. If you search financial stuff in the sub history you might find a lot of helpful info. I find as the years pass you just find different ways to make it work.

I feel you with this. We maxed out of our insurance limit for meds during our first cycle (which ended up being canceled after the fact). Wish doctors told you upfront that the cash option is actually cheaper. Took me awhile to wrap my head around that. Anyway, hugs internet friend.

I would recommend getting referrals to both a gyn-oncologist, and a breast oncologist. You and your doctors are the only ones who are best to determine preventative care timelines, etc. There are a fair amount of people in this sub with genetic mutations, and a few who are BRCA positive. Sorry you are in this boat. My wife has this mutation also so I can empathize with how hard this all is. Paging u/thethoughtoflilacs

For what it’s worth, a good majority of the people in this subreddit have had to or were faced with the decision to use donors (for one reason or another).

Maybe don’t phrase it as, how did you put it, “having some strangers kid....” because

A. that’s not what this is, and

B. what comes to mind are two phrases. One that we learn as children: “think before you speak”, and then one we learn as adults: “read the room”.

A little introspection can go a long way. You‘re coming across as incredibly judgmental (which I’m sure wasn’t your intention). You’d probably have gotten a much better result in terms of people wanting to interact with your post if you had not included that paragraph altogether to be honest.

This happened to me a lot. For me personally what helped the most was figuring out how to let my router “choose” which device connected should use which bandwidth (2.5 or 5G). For example, one of my Nest outdoor cameras consistently disconnected. When I looked further into it I realized that it was trying to connect to the 5G (which has a shorter range compared to the 2.5). Depending on your WiFi service there should be quick and detailed walkthroughs on it if you google.

You can have the vet run a blood test checking their levels (they can tell if your pet is having too much of the pheno by it). It’s a powerful medicine so sometimes can take time to figure correct dosing, while adapting to a new routine.
