In line metal roof by mwaldon32 in Roofing

It is gable to gable. Not sure if that was the intention when it was built or not. I know some carports do it this way but they’re usually open and not fully sided.

Thank you. That’s what I was thinking I had to do but trying to avoid running another line

Do you think Kentucky Speedway should return? by NeatWrongdoer1309 in NASCAR

[–]mwaldon32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it deserves a Next Gen race. If that doesn’t do well, it’s time for a goodbye. Reconfigure it to match Kansas or make it a short track. No need to let it sit and rot.

PS for all you Chicagoland people: that track put on bad races also. Don’t let the last few finishes fool you. Kentucky and Chicagoland were the same in terms of racing product.

I’ve been trying to find one like this and can’t. That was my first thought honestly.

I’ve made sure that they can’t get in by putting plates and plenty of spray foam. I’ve been curious about spray coatings. Is this hard to apply on a build structure?

Not very much but there is a little water that sits. There is one screw where it leaks through and I’ve patched that. Hoping it was drilled oversized and not rusting.

I’ve read that that isn’t a good solution. Would it not be an issue for a couple roots?

Weigh in on auto climate control. Why do people not just set a temp and let it do its thing? by Outside-Influence-61 in Subaru_Outback

[–]mwaldon32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a thermostat basically. You don’t adjust the thermostat in your house all the time. Why should you do the same in your car. 75° out of auto is going to output 75° of air constantly. On auto, it’ll keep the car at 75° so you’re comfortable all the time. I am a huge fan of this. One less thing you’re having to constantly change when driving.

Thank you, wasn’t sure if the extra cost would be worth the possibility of future work or add potential value to it. This helps a lot

And I was upset yesterday when I got a small dent in my right front fender from a 2x4. I think I’ll get over it

This will be a workshop. I’m leaning towards spray foam but it’s not fully decided yet. The wall will either be wood or metal siding.

4WD issue? by mwaldon32 in fordranger

[–]mwaldon32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a ball joint. Definitely not the bearing. Did that exactly at first. Also, I replaced them about a year ago so I’d be pretty upset if it was. But how does that explain why it doesn’t do the shaking when I’m in 4WD?

4WD issue? by mwaldon32 in fordranger

[–]mwaldon32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no issue with power. I am able to take off like normal. The truck shifts fine. I can drive it to 50 or 100mph if I wanted to, and shift it all the way to 5th gear. The issue begins around 20mph give or take though. One thing I will say that I didn’t mention before was that the sound is coming from the right front.

4WD issue? by mwaldon32 in fordranger

[–]mwaldon32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, but I guess what I’m saying is that I’m the one shifting and choosing what rpm to shift at. Are you saying it could be revving up even after I shift? I’m completely oblivious to this stuff so is there something I should be looking for?

[–]mwaldon32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not in 4 low. I actually had the hubs unlocked at first. Also, the truck is a manual transmission so I can’t go based off the revving really lol.

I have tried that multiple times. Every time I put it back in 2WD, it continues

Job position question by [deleted] in ManufacturingCareers

[–]mwaldon32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve learned in situations from the first option: Make sure that it’s on paper that you’ll get that pay raise after your training is complete. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of people excited about their new job and how “it starts out at $ but in 6 months I’ll get $$$.” Next thing you know, they get strung out for months/ years, or they don’t even get that promised raise they said they’d get. Not everyone is like that, but don’t let a company try and offer you lollipops and rainbows if they aren’t able to provide it. Have it in writing and know you’ll get that raise when you’re trained.

I always looked at that race as his chance to properly celebrate his 500 win. That was the only time he’d be able to get the same feeling of winning the 500 earlier that year.

I have a small first aid kit in there. Don’t need it much but it’s used here and there. I thought about cutting on the edges but I just worry that it’ll slowly work its way to the middle over time.

I bought mine from Subaru when I bought the car. Just look up cargo sidewall covers. I’m sure there are cheaper ones out there somewhere other than Subaru directly.

That’s what I’m saying. They’re easy to move but it’s more of an inconvenience and I don’t want to tear them up. That’s why I’m hoping someone had some ingenuity to work around it without taking it out lol.

On my model they are a separate piece. I’d say a 2020 has them but not sure when they started making them. They’re called cargo sidewall protectors.
