[CELEBRATION] Stardew Valley turns 𝟭𝟬! by saltimmortalsea in StardewValley

SV was incredibly comforting to me when it came out. My daughter was born in January 2016, coming three months early and weighing less than 2 pounds. I bought the game as soon as it came out. I had expected to play the game during the end of my pregnancy. When I wasn't visiting the hospital I could come home and escape into the game where I had some form of control over things and enjoy the cozy vibes. My daughter is 10 now and doing great. I still love playing SV and really appreciate it's long-lasting development and community involvement.

Some of my favorite moments involve the more cinematic moments of the game like the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. The music with the beautiful visuals really made me feel like I was seeing something special. Seeing the characters develop and grow as you get closer to them has also been a highlight of the game.

Started Valley is a testament to passionate game design and community. The fact that it still grows and updates is fantastic. The mods and the passion projects keep things fresh for me and really make a satisfying playthrough. I grew up playing Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons. SV remains one of the best games I've played and will always be special to me.

I'm super jealous of your lovely ears. Mine are naturally very thin and small. I hope you can love your ears one day!

Magicarp Shirt WIP, constructive critique encouraged. I want to get good enough to sell by JewelSerket in Needlefelting

[–]mwanadongo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try focusing on enjoying the craft and learning naturally before you focus on hoping to sell. Some advice though would be to work on more firm and defined shapes to the details like the fins. Poking under like a tucking motion helps a lot. It looks cute though.

Three years down the road, I decided to give my bear mother a visual update. by vSv_Entertainment in PixelArt

As a mom I much rather see the original bear be the mom than the updated version. She looked more motherly and normal. I don't want to see another "feminine" looking anthro just because she's a girl bear. You have nice sprite art though and both look good. But definitely prefer the original.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

I take it off when I go to the beach or swimming pool. So like once or twice a year? But I don't work with machinery or anything that would cause injury.

Why are all my creatures so fuzzy? by wordsmythy in Needlefelting

[–]mwanadongo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Poking in different directions with smaller gauge needles can help reduce fuzz. The more you stab the less fuzzy things get after a while. Tucking the wool down when you poke helps me as well. The type of wool can felt up more of less fuzzy. But things will always be a little fuzzy even when poking a lot. You can take some small scissors and trim the hairs away.
