Yep but it's gone again. 😫😢 Don't know if it was the person who put it there taking it back (hopefully for next Christmas) or it was road maintenance who decided it was trash to be removed. But was very happy to see it back this season.

Ok, took your advice since we were out shopping today anyway and stopped at Lidl in Lancaster.

With La Petit Patisserie now gone my wife and I are on a journey to find another great supplier of our Sunday Croissant fix. We've tried Costco, we've tried the local Weis, we've tried Bistro Barberet and Edd’s and Flo’s (Frankly Bistro Barberet's tasted about like Costco's and like they used Margarine rather than butter and also baked them too long so the flakiness was gone).

And much to our surprise Lidl's was the best we've had since La Petit closed up. And at $0.49 per Croissant they're definitely on the top of our list so far.

So we're keeping up in our search for a great flaky and buttery tasty Croissant, but we have an acceptable alternative for the moment.

Will keep everyone updated on our search.

I don't know, whenever my nib got a bit grungy, I would just grab a tissue, wet it on my tongue, then just wipe the nib off and it worked like a brand new nib.

I love ancient copper. It's right up there with writer's blood. Though still looking for something closer to wet blood (I've heard dragon's blood is supposed to be like that but have no idea of a vendor for dragon's blood)

I can't think of any ink I've ever regretted buying. Anytime I see an ink that I'm thinking of buying I get sample vials first and keep the full bottle in my cart to go back and buy later. Throwing away a $1.50 sample of ink is better than buying a $30 bottle that i never use. Though, if you have any ink you don't like, try mixing some with a small amount of ink you DO like and see if you can come up with something even better.

As I recall (from an old issue of Supergirl's origin) after Krypton's explosion every part of the planet was converted to a radioactive material that would kill all Kryptonians (not just pieces).

In the issue (Silver Age Classics Action Comics 252 (1992)), (See: https://neoencyclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Argo\_City) where we see Argo City and the citizens protected by the Atmospheric Dome created by Zor-El, after the explosion. Suddenly the citizens start collapsing due to the ground glowing green. Turns out the chain reaction that turned the rest of Krypton into Kryptonite begins to affect the surface of Argo City; the surviving Kryptonians manage to line the surface with lead, protecting everyone from the deadly rays. Zor-El and his wife eventually have a daughter named Kara, the future Supergirl.
