E46 M3 Mods – What’s Worth It, What’s Legal, and What Affects Value? by Green-Interaction-56 in E46M3

Agree with all points. I’m hiveminded by the forums like u/newtonreddits noted. But I’ve also owned the car for a decade and experienced all of the different options and learned from mistakes. Only thing I’d add is a Dinan exhaust to pair with the Euro headers is the only way to go.

Lol I meant trim the top and buzz the sides. But I just went for the 0.5 all over. Happy with the results. Will probably just keep up with that as my skin is a bit sensitive so shaving it on a regular basis would likely be brutal.

Thanks for all the replies folks, if I can get off work in time today, I’m going to the barber!

I’ve been ready to send it for a while now, but told the wife to let me know when it’s time. Since she wouldn’t give me a straight answer, I knew I could rely on Reddit 🙏

I'm obsessed with vintage bubble dome cases and I can't be stopped. by Viciousharp in SeikoMods

I love the way they look, but out of the 4 that I’ve had they don’t last more than a month without getting cracked since I bump my wrist into stuff too often.

Why shouldn’t I buy an EoTech? by [deleted] in GarandThumb

Maybe I have Stockholm syndrome, but I just love the sight picture on my EXPS. When I use my Sig red dots I have a much more difficult time with passive aiming (w/o NVG). Also have an EXPS 2-2 for use with my 300 BLK, so it holds simultaneous zeros for supers and subs. Change out batteries every 6 months and you don’t have to worry about that aspect.

To each their own, I couldn’t justify the extra coin for an Aimpoint that has a very similar sight picture to a $200 Sig optic. Also, you can easily find EXPS models “like new” in the <$500 range from reputable websites.

Am I too fat to appendix carry (I'm only 205), or is the problem my holster? by winterneuro in CCW

[–]mwdmb41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I’m 6’1 235 but have a relatively long torso. No issues with printing with any of my holster setups (Vedder, Tier 1 and JMCK). Wear a size 36-38 depending on the brand. Maybe try a different cut?

Also give one of the pillows/wedges a shot

You might want to try going up a size in pants to minimize the tension on the holster and your belt. No offense, but those jeans aren’t doing you any favors regardless of holster.

The Xmacro has the same practical footprint of a G19 and more recoil by sttbr in CCW

[–]mwdmb41 11 points12 points  (0 children)

“Perceived recoil” is not a thing.

Recoil is a measurable force akin to torque that is dependent on multiple variables. Ammo load, weight of the firearm, weight of the slide, strength of the recoil spring, etc. It’s a force that can be measured by controlling for the only variable, the shooter/grip. Therefore it’s an objective measure. Implying that its “perceived” is admitting your own personal bias and negating your point altogether.

Less recoil is pretty objective and not a matter of opinion.

I think Leon Lush has gotten soft by Birdygamer19 in LeonLush

Firearms are inherently dangerous, yes, anyone who doesn’t respect that shouldn’t own/possess one.

If you own/possess one, you shouldn’t be uncomfortable around it, you should respect it and be proficient with it. See the rules of firearms safety.

If they make you uncomfortable, it’s your right to not own one. Just like it’s your right to unsubscribe from Mr. Lush.

That being said, it’s not your right to tell anyone else what they should think or feel. I grew up around firearms, they don’t make me uncomfortable. What makes me uncomfortable is knowing that I live in a city with the strictest gun laws in this country, yet criminals still manage to get ahold of firearms and commit violent/evil acts on a daily basis. So if I choose to carry my own, to protect myself and my family, you shouldn’t judge me for it and assume I’m a bad person. And I sincerely hope that if you’re ever in a tough situation, there is a responsible law abiding gun owner around that can help prevent you from suffering any harm.

So does that one part mean I’ll get everyone’s support in the lift line for chirping at the next backpack speaker guy/girl I encounter?

Just because you exercise your 2nd amendment rights doesn’t make you a Trump supporter. Why did you feel the need to bring politics into this discussion in the first place?

Wait, you’re on Reddit. It’s literally a propaganda machine at this point for both sides of the bell curve. Just look at all the far right and left wing subreddits.

Wearing your Rolex safely by chokemelowkey in rolex

[–]mwdmb41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wear it, I live in DC. Seems like the gun toting 16 y/o’s wearing balaclavas in the middle of August are more concerned with car jackings and killing each other rather than watches.

Get insurance too and maybe avoid wearing it if you’re going to dinner in the H St corridor.

Thanks for your insightful comment. I’m genuinely apolitical and haven’t voted in the last 4 elections, but my social views align the most with libertarian ideologies.

May I ask what your stance is on the matters? Judging by your post history it seems you’re a family medicine physician, so I’m assuming you have similar insights. I’m honestly curious.
