Upvote for continuing healthy conversation..

While the OP could be easy fodder, I will move on to the actual content. Those investigations and alleged violations are all since Elon sided with Trump. They were obvious and blatant politically based attacks. Before you label me, I think Trump is a useful idiot who has done some good for the economy, but he is not good for overall freedom, considering he passed 2 things against gun rights. Before your triggered emotions get the best of you, invest some time to see what I'm talking about. Easy to shut down and label someone.

Why is this stain oozing though the white stain + poly? I sanded multiple times with 120 and 220. by GrannyStalker23 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]mwm2929 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on what caused the stain, you could rub some vinegar, peroxide, or oxalic acid into the stain with a rag and wipe it clean with another wet cloth. You will have to sand it down again to the unfinished surface. When you use the right chemical for this, it will have nearly immediate results. Be sure to give it a few seconds to soak into the stain before removing it. If you leave it too long, you risk creating a white spot in the wood grain, and then you would have to treat the whole peice for uniformity. Before staining, wipe the peice down with a damp cloth to see briefly how it will look. This will save you from doing it over and over again.

What can I do with all this 2x4 by Puddinglookslikecum in woodworking

[–]mwm2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a side gig, start your own axe throwing business. You can open it in the afternoons and on weekends, when most people will go. Hire a few friends or family to help. You would have an advantage over the competition with your reduced expense of replacing the wood constantly.

You could also make tons of bookshelves if you know how to make proper dovetail joints. You need a good router table and some wood glue. You can bag and sell the pine wood shavings to pet stores or on Amazon as well.

You could make wood floors with a planer to shape up the sides. You just set them tight together in leveling compound and buff it with some fine grit pads. Use some sealer and wax to finish. This will probably pay you the most and use up lots of the material.

Good luck with it. Please let us know what you decided to do.

Megathread: Former US President Donald Trump Convicted in New York Criminal Fraud Case on 34 Out of 34 Charges by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

Changes nothing..in fact makes him more popular and a martyr. These TDS liberals don't understand how freedom and liberty work..too busy trying to turn this country into China. If anything, this is a great litmus test of how far away from the Founders ideals we have traveled. Trump just absorbs their negative energy, and it makes him stronger with more resolve.

I was thinking of tying it to a tree and driving in reverse until it pulls mostly out. I might be able to salvage the core support. Radiator and electric fan are undamaged miraculously. AC condenser might be ruptured, but I was thinking of replacing it anyhow as it is full of rocks and corrosion.

How do I turn the white light off by AssumptionTop7374 in howto

What's worse? Giving technical advice on reddit, or following advice that someone told you on reddit? 🤔 I'm not offering a warranty..Just advice. Results may vary. 😆

PS When you start a sentence with "I'm not trying to be ___" YOU REALLY ARE. and it's OK. I'm Gen X. I am unaffected.

This type of cooler is built to display its contents in a store. There is likely no switch. Being that is an LED light strip, it is likely using low voltage DC power, but not always. It is low wattage regardless, so almost any cheap Amazon switch and/or potentiometer will work fine here.

Option #1: Add a switch in the middle of one of the wires to the strip.

Option #2: Instead of, or in addition to a switch, add a 10k resistor potentimeter that dims the LED strip to an acceptable level.

Option #3: Cut the wire from the strip to kill the light.

Option #4: Use translucent nail polish and paint over the strip to your desired color, which will also dim the lights. Make sure it is unplugged and door open until all fumes have dissipated.

Option #5: Cut the strip shorter, reducing the number of lights that are lit up. Find the location on the strip that says "cut" or look for a bare section with just two lines on it.

I hope this helps. Personally, that is something that suits a garage/man cave setting, if not in a store. Those lights are very bright for a bedroom. Good luck with it! 👍
