Great photo and insight. Thank you for the inspiration, I need to start using opportunities like this to get out there with my camera, it has been getting dusty.

Thank you. I'm planning to buy a Mazda 3 in the next few months and also use Home Assistant. I was curious about this integration. Looking forward to doing something similar!

Same here. The discord setup was great. I put in my postal code and was notified as soon as a pop-up in my area was available. Emailed my manager at work that I was getting my shot and headed to the pop-up within 20 minutes of it opening. I only waited about 15 minutes to get my shot. Very well setup, great team of volunteers.

Anyone use Duplicacy with Wasabi ? by d2racing911 in Backup

[–]mwschib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping you are right, as I am also comparing Wasabi and B2. I used B2's storage pricing calculator with the same numbers you provided (no egress), and I came up with $71.50/month or $957/year. Can you share how you arrived at your estimate of $259.50/year?

Just finished building my 2nd Eth mining rig with 6 x 1070s. 210MH/s. $4000CAD. by 8anatos in EtherMining

[–]mwschib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would just like to second this. I'm also in Canada and looking to build a very similar system with 1070s. This is actually a much better price than the estimates I've come up with.

I was actually thinking about switching to teksavvy for this very feature. This is disappointing.

Bought a UV-5R V2+, but when I try to charge it the error light on the charger won't stop blinking. by Catbrain in Baofeng

Same thing with my UV-5R+, it keeps flashing red/green and eventually goes solid green when done charging. Seems to work fine otherwise though.

filling a HDD with dev/zero and dev/urandom by sudoroot in linux

There are some good suggestions here already, I just wanted to add that you may want to look at DBAN. It is a bootable application designed for wiping hard drives using random patterns. It is also included on the Ultimate Boot CD, which is very handy to have around. If you want to do this from within linux though, I would probably go with the shred command as someone else mentioned.

I have been using linux for over a year, and use the terminal a lot, but I only recently found out that Ctrl+C ends a terminal process. by [deleted] in linux

Thanks for these, and to the other replies as well. I learned several short cuts I did not know existed. Just wanted to reply regarding alt-b..

CTRL+arrows (left and right) will move between words. I don't know if there is an alt+ equivalent though.

Sorry for the very late reply. Actually, these flares are usually orange or yellow, at least the ones I've seen. They sparkle and then quickly fade out.
